If OG Anunoby stays healthy, Crean is probably still HC at Indiana. They were a projected 7-seed when he was injured. Then they lost 8 of 11. He did a bit of everything for them and covered a lot of warts. I think a bid would've bought him another year.

So that's why the administration found out Crean was leaving until it was on the news. Crean wanted to spare them the embarrassment.

I disagree. Man up and show up for a meeting with the employer that's paid you very handsomely. Sign off on your COBRA benefits, turn in your key card and walk away with dignity intact.

He suspected he was going to be fired; I wouldn't say he knew he was going to get fired. Maybe that's what the writing says on the wall, but he isn't a cashier at Wendy's. Act like a professional and show up for the damn meeting... mostly because if word gets out that you blew it off, it's not going to help your chances with potential future employers.

AD's put up with egos all the time provided that they will occasionally be checked at the door when the situation arises... apparently, Crean's ego follows him through every closed door like Tim on Jeronne.

based upon the way he left MU---one of the most classless acts I have seen in the athletic arena---I think IU should have packed his things and left him a post it note on the door saying he was fired
