Nothing so far. Looks like its gonna start late. Looks like Dennis Krause is running the production for time warner sports. Looks like Dan Needles just got here. Not much to report yet. The eagle is carrying 2 giant heads of Buzz.

Trevor is with the team, if that means anything.

Wild just hinted that some people "didn't want the challenge" of coaching in the Big East.

Fr. Wild sounds like Harry Caray.

He just went through a list of those who helped with the search. I'm amazed those people came to this conclusion.

Honestly, not a single person looks very "excited" about this. Maybe it's just been a long week.

For you watchers of The Office, Cottingham = Toby.

PRN, if they had just got YOU on that search team, I'm SURE we would have landed Miller, Bennet, or Lowery.   How could they have POSSIBLY held out against your unfailing optimism and upbeat attitude?  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

tower912 -- do you think this press conference has a celebratory feel to it? It sounds like a wake!

I want people to be excited!

Ha!  Toby...  Nice.  Cool story about Buzz...  I'm coming around to it...

Especially if Trevor stays and Tyshawn is on his way.

It's a press conference! What do you expect, Fr. Wild and Cottingham to show up in powder blue youth Wade jerseys jumping to zombie nation?

This is a formal announcement, Crean's was very similar.

Is this an option? Because I would like to see it.

Actually I would strongly disagree with that.  I was at Crean's presser and it was PACKED in the main ball room of the AMU.  People were very excited and there was high high energy there.  I remember it like it was yesterday.  It was exciting, set the proper tone and people immediately were like "yeah, we're going to be just fine"

Now, you may have been referencing Crean's IU press conference....I'm referencing Crean's MU press conference.

PRN, Buzz is not the ideal guy, but he is here. give him a chance. We get it, you don't like the hire. I am not reading your posts for awhile. You are to depressing.

I was referring to IU's, yeah, which was formal in nature, like this one.

He just emphasized that he sent for the team while still in Wild's office. He wanted to make sure they heard from him that he was their coach. "I don't say that to be critical of anything, I say that because what's important to me are these guys." He talked to them until they were tired, he talked to their parents.

I think he's definitely a personable guy, who could very well have a good relationship with the students and alums.

I really like this guy. He's as straight-forward as they come and maybe the most polite coach in the history of basketball.
