Oso planning to go pro
Good to know that you know more about women than, you know, an actual woman....
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny. Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
Marcus is known for chitty food, hey?
Going to any chain restaurant in LV is a huge mistake unless it's a particularly good one that they don't have in your hometown. I am in disbelief of the people who spend the money to come to one of the best food cities in the world and eat at McCormick and Schmick or California Pizza Kitchen.
Who said anything about eating there? Fact is most beer on the strip is absolute crap, and although it's a chain, the yard house has a huge selection of good beer.
Hope you and Chick aren't still flying Southworst glowhttp://www.cnn.com/2016/08/27/us/southwest-emergency-landing-engine-trouble/index.html
glow / chick - Here's a question .. we're visiting my sister for Thanksgiving in Phoenix, then heading to the Grand Canyon, then flying out of Vegas. We'll have our 8 and 10 year olds with us, in Vegas, for an afternoon and evening .. maybe 7 hours total, leaving early the next morning. What's on the list?
Great list .. so far, no hotel reservation yet, so feel free to suggest. Clearly, we're not dropping tons of dough on a hotel, we'll only be there for ~10 hours before our flight out.
Yes, the Pinball Hall of Fame is awesome. Jimmy Mac and I have bonded on Twitter over that place.Vegas isn't quite the family-friendly place it tried to be a few years back, but here are some suggestions.:1. The volcano at The Mirage2. The fountains at Bellagio3. Siegfried and Roy's Private Garden (it's not what you think - it's white tigers and dolphins and that sort of thing)4. Walking around some of the theme-ier casinos - especially Paris, New York, New York, Caesar's Palace, Excalibur5. The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay6. Driving down The Strip at night - roll the windows down so you can hear as well as see everythingI would not recommend walking on The Strip at night with the younguns - too many drunks and other people acting inappropriately.Where are you staying? I can give you some other recommendations based on that so you aren't driving all over the place.
This is great stuff, chick. As it turns out, we are going there in October to hang with my daughter and her boyfriend and to meet his family for the first time. (They all live in the Pacific Northwest.) This list of yours might be geared toward kids, but I think we will enjoy doing some of it. Especially my wife, who is a kid at heart and who really doesn't like gambling.I'd welcome any more suggestions from you or anybody else. We will be there for 4 full days, which is longer than I usually go for, and we probably won't even be bringing our golf clubs. We probably are staying at the MGM, or at least in that area.
Great stuff, all.Question about logistics / parking. We'll have a rental car. Do you drive from attraction to attraction, or park and hoof it around?I recall when I was last there, there was some sort of monorail thing.
I'd park 'strategically'. Moving the car is a pain. Do note that the biggest sh*tstorm in years started this Spring when MGM Corp? (I think I'm remembering correctly) started charging for parking. The locals went insane. The Deuce bus up and down the strip is a great bet. Whatever you do, avoid a cab on the Strip. It'll piss you off to no end to watch people walking faster than you're going while the meter rolls on.
1. The volcano at The Mirage
You must have heard about my night with three hookers at The Mirage
which end?
