That implies that the shot was inside the rim. It hit the ouside of the rim and was not close to going in. The high bounce over the back board took away any chance for an offensive rebound.

Life is much better knowing that. You remember rimshots better then I.

Onto other things, it's not out of the question to think Buzz called Western Carolina to request a date change if the Wooden Tradition just recently came calling.

I feel like the Dave Stohler character in Breaking Away [one of my all time favorite movies.  Now where was that movie set?  Somewhere about 50 miles southwest of Indianapolis, if I recall correctly] when he took such glee when the Italians were coming to race in Indianapolis. 

I will definitely be in the house, hoping for the double play -- Marquette winning and Purdue losing!!!!

I can't remember a time when a team had games on consecutive days without being in a tournament, especially two different states.

Last year, Coppin State played a Friday night game at the Bradley Center and then bussed it down to Bloomington to play the Hoosiers at Noon the next day.
