I want to say thanks!

After reading most of the threads here, I feel like an optimist again!  lol

The youth of this team has been shown, how they improve will show even more.  'Nuff said.

Lock the thread.  Print it.  Frame it.  Sticky it.   :o

I skipped reading anything from Saturday until today.  It usually gives sufficient time for the negativity to wear off and start looking forward again.

I heard on Sunday there was talk of the University cancelling the rest of the season or maybe that was just the way it sounded on here.

I agree with the youth statement.  Here's to hoping.

So...with some good news:
  • MU had the highest points per possession on Wisky all season at 1.12.  Notre Dame was a 1.04 and UNLV was a 1.08
  • MU had the 2nd highest (almost first) Offensive Rebounding rate at 37.0% next to the Domers at 37.1%

The killer, as we all know, was the Badgers offensive rebounding rate...45.5% against our small 2nd half line-up vs. 16.7% by the Domers.  Leaving the shooters for those rebounds was the death of us in the Zaga and Badger games after both shot lights out in the first half on the perimeter.

While we're at it, the positive (or at least, not negative) points from statsheet

# The Golden Eagles have recorded more free throws made than their opponents for the past 10 games.
# The top two scorers (Jimmy Butler and Dwight Buycks) accounted for 43.7% of the points.
# The bench recorded more points (34) than the starters (30).
# Jimmy Butler has led the team in scoring 5 times in 10 games this season.
# Dwight Buycks set a career high with a 100% three point percentage and 6 field goals made.

You would think/hope that a team getting that many offensive rebounds would struggle with transition defense.  Not the case for any MU opponents this year...
