Y'all love to talk about the wonderful Christian values learned and emphasized throughout your Marquette education. But, in everyday life and practice, not so much, aina?

Well, I've driven all around Orlando and the surrounding area. Used to go there for work. I don't remember seeing anything there that made me say, "Wow, this is special. I gotta get back and see that again." But you're right; perhaps outside the touristy areas, there is not much objectionable, either.

Ive never seen the appeal of Greater Orlando, besides Disney/greater Kissimmee attractions.  But I know a couple people who have the money to live/retire in large fashion wherever they wanted who have retired to/have a winter spot in the area (despite having no other ties to the area).  So clearly there is some appeal.  One actually swapped a $$$ house in the greater Palm Beach area for another pricey pad in Orlando, so there must be some draws.

Now that I live less than a 2 hour drive away, I'm sure I'll see some more parts of it other than Disney or the massive Gaylord Resort and Convention Center.  Hell, I always thought Winter Haven was weird/unappealing as a spot, but drove around it a few weeks ago and was kind of impressed with how nice some of it was.  Not for me, but my former coworker who retired there didn't seem as bizarre.

Sounds like the beginnings of a professional league.

Beginnings? It’s been professional for awhile.

I was never a Bryson fan but became one this weekend. In a cookie cutter sport he stands out from the crowd - Schauffele, Cantlay, JT, Speith, Morikawa, etc., etc., etc. He looks different, hits it differently and approaches it differently. Lots of tour players hold that against him, I’m sure, but I think it’s refreshing. His temper seems under control and he was more fun for the galleries than the rest of the boring field combined. As long as he comports himself like he did this weekend I’ll root for him.

I'm guessing not having a camera right up on him every round and a bunch of interviews has helped things. The relative anonymity LIV has provided him means he can kind of control his public view better.

Less chance for an Augusta is a Par 67 type of comment.

I'm wondering why you weren't concerned about antisemitism 8 months ago.

The closest you came to discussing anything having anything to do with Judaism was when you incorrectly used Yiddish in a way that it sounded like somebody mocking Jews.

You never voiced concern with Putin's antisemitism or with him funding Iran's hostilities toward Israel. You didn't voice concern when antisemitic groups helped stage a violent coup attempt on 1/6/21. You didn't even voice concern when some very fine people were carrying torches and chanting "Jews will not replace us!" in Charlottesville.

But hey, even if you aren't really good at articulating who is and who isn't antisemitic, it's nice to see you advocating for someone other than white Christian males. Maybe eventually you'll voice disgust about the systemic racism in America, too.

We’ve been over this.

Those instances of anti-semitism are examples of political pawns

I did not like Bryson prior to his defection.  Certainly was not rooting for him yesterday.    However, I will agree he projected a persona that was much more likeable this past weekend.   Maybe he has relaxed.   Maybe he has grown up.

I think thats part of it.  He's 30. A lot of what created division happened when he was in his mid 20s, a time when many normal people are kind of idiots, and they aren't wealthy, treated specially, and in the public eye.  Ive mentioned I know various people who knew/interacted with him in golf circles when he was at SMU/early 20s and they all mentioned him as polite, affable, and thoughtful.  I'd like to think thats his base nature and he's returning to it to some extent.
