Hawks in 5. Bruins sneak a close one by at home in game 3 or 4, but that's it.

Quick rundown of the B's, and what I think you can expect.

Top scorers: Bergeron, Krejci (leading NHL in points in the playoffs), Marchand, and Horton.

Our top line of Bergeron, Marchand and Jagr has been effective, Bergeron is great a faceoffs and probably cheats a little bit, so look forward to that.  2nd line has been a beast, with Krecji leading the way with Horton (who will be making some big bucks outside of Boston next year) and Lucic (while has gotten going scoring wise, is a big body, hits hard and camps in front of the net.  3rd line with Kelly and Seguin can surprise folks, and the 4th line is patchwork, with Gregory Campbell breaking his leg last week, but our goon plays on the 4th line, Shawn Thorton.  If you haven't seen it, Campbell broke his leg on this play, then played the next minute on it, incredible.  http://deadspin.com/bruins-gregory-campbell-breaks-leg-finishes-shift-511765108

Marchand is an pretty boy, but he is our pretty boy, expect a few slashes, some taunting from him.  Has never been afraid to chirp at the opposing bench.  You will hate him, trust me.  But he is gifted offfensivley.

Definitely looking forward to the series. Here is another look at the Bruins forwards by the guys at The Committed Indian. +1 for the Dinosaur Jr reference. They're also a great follow on twitter, even if you have just an ounce of hockey interest.

I bow down to Boston. They kicked my Penguins ass. I now fear the Bruins.

Eastern Conference is an inferior product. Prepare for a wakeup call!

So how long before a Hawks player cries to the media about the physical play of the B's, and that Eastern Conference plays a style of hockey that is "dangerous" or not real hockey.

They said the same thing about the Kings series...They seemed to handle that pretty well.

I would caution you that Blackhawks and Penguins have a lot of similarities, and we all saw how well the Penguins did.  Blackhawks need to stay disciplined when the scoring bunches they are used to don't happen.  IMHO that's what did Pittsburgh in.  They got frustrated, pressed, and got caught out of position too many times.

That's what the high flying,4 goals per game, best power play in the NHL Pens thought before being held to .5 goals per game in the sweep.  Guess we'll see soon enough.

That's what happened in the Detroit series.  Hawks adjusted and haven't looked back.

The difference between the Hawks and the Pens is that when the stars weren't scoring, someone else was stepping up.

Toews/Kane aren't scoring, bickell/sharp are. The hawks are deeper, and that will make a difference.

Funny, because I keep hearing how similar the Bruins and Kings are.

Also be willing to take a few bets on the ole' hockey series.

How about a local 24oz bomber for the winner.

Willing to take the first 5 who PM me.

Jaromir says bring it on.

Your jealous of Kaner's mullet and steps. Hell, Jagr is jealous.

Chicagos lines were just tweeted recently. Im no coach but I hate it. Chicago is splitting up Kane and Toews again and Bollig is replacing Stalberg in the lineup. I hope Q sees something I dont.

But but but  I thought The Hawks are so deep it shouldn't matter.  Goals should be raining down like manna from heaven with all that talent.

Eastern conference is such an inferior product, doesn't matter what the Hawks lines are.

I am usually remiss to take fanship advice of any sort from the obnoxious sports fans of Boston.  And frankly the bandwagon Hawks fans complaints are getting a bit tired.

Agreed, besides maybe Detroit, Boston is my least favorite sports city. No respect for their teams of fans.

It's one of the lazier fan base vs. fan base arguments, aside from
"our players play the game the right way" and "our fans are classier."
