OK State may have a new coach next year.  Not so worried about them. Will be interesting to see what Miller does.  If he sticks around, he’s got some good bag men

I stand corrected. Numbers notwithstanding just don’t put them in same company as UConn defensively.

Creighton is 14th in the country at defenisve eFG%. They are also literally the best team in the country at defending without fouling.  They're top 40 in defensive rebounding as well. The only reason they aren't a top 10 defense on kenpom is that they don't force turnovers ever. Literally last in the country at TO% forced. They stay at home and make you take very difficult shots. Very tough for guys playing PG for the first time this season to navigate

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Phew, without thinking about the context for a second I thought you were referring to Sean Jones heading home.

I know his name has been attached to that job but part of me wonders if that ain’t him and the agent angling for more out of Xavier.  I’m not sure he’s on the top of their list

How about Parham and Owens?

Watched Zach Kinziger play tonight. Boy are we all going to hate that kid in a couple years. Deadeye shooter from range and spends half the game working the refs for foul calls. He’ll be a perfect fit in Madison.

We'll see, Crowl is the only guy Gard has brought in outside of the top 125 the last 4-5 years that has been a decent contributor.  All their other talent is transfers or 8th year seniors like Wahl.  Essegian was supposed to be another one of those guys and he's been a zero this year.

Very good WAGS, let's set the groundwork for next season's loss in Madison when the board can be bewildered on how we can lose to a team we so vastly superior to in talent and coaching.

Certainly like his comments about Marquette vs. the others in the mix.

Reading his comments, I doubt that he would be a good fit with Shaka's culture. Too much ego on full display.

Liam McNeeley is back on the market. Maybe he can be as good as Liam McMorrow was.

Seems like an almost insurmountable task to overcome BOTH Zaide AND Lowery...

If that's not bad enough, Shaka has to find PT for both Tre and Norman.

Haven't seen him play, but I loved him in Ozark.

Bateman is a true 3&D guy.  Legit on-ball defender and great shooter.

Trying to think of a comp.... maybe a better Greg Elliott?  A little bigger and definitely more talented, but id view him in similar role as more of an impactful off-ball guard.

Edit:  I see below he's starting to develop more as a PG.  Great to hear, definitely raises his ceiling as a player.  Last time I saw him he was not playing much on the ball yet on offense.  If the PG skills are legit, combined with his shooting and defense, he'd be above Nyk Lewis for me as top PG recruit for 2025 for us.

Does anybody have a thought about Batemon as a player?

I saw him last month.  long, lanky point guard who can play the point or go out and play off the ball.  I was told he had 26 points last night.  Marquette seems to be looking at 4 guards right now and if he's one of them, I'd gladly take him.

One friend who is about as tuned into Wisconsin high school basketball as anyone, told me he really likes Batemon on and off the court and another friend who has been to over 100 games this high school season said that Batemon has moved over to the point guard this year and he likes how he is developing.

Is this guy even a possibility? Seems like KU or Texas would be his destination.
