Me neither.

Nowhere to go but down.

I do not like these expectations.

It'll change as recruits sign and we see how the draft pans out.

That said, we all pine for Marquette to have sustained success. At some point that means you have to embrace the target and make it happen.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

With these high projections it would be nice if we were after an immediately eligible player. Matthew Hurt made a decision yet? "Hey Matty, how would you like to make a top 10 team a top 1 team?"

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Right now our most important mission is to secure the promising young  2020 players right in our own backyard. These high ratings  can only help  the MU cause in recruiting.

I would love to see MU sign up a serious pogo stick grad transfer. The team would be very formidable if that happened.

And falling to #3 will trigger the Fire Wojo posts.
Have some patience, FFS.

Well, the better bet for that is if MU fails the first test of the year, like in previous seasons.

Two is too high.  Top 10 is probably accurate.  See what everyone else returns.

What happened to #1? We can't get any respect. ESPN hates Marquette and the Big East.

After the way the season ended the team probably would do better coming in with a bit of swagger. Not sure about #2 without know where all the top recruits are headed

Key words: if Markus returns. Yet even if he does not, MU is still a top tier prospect, 10 maybe?

If he goes, we probably drop to the 15-25 range. I think 2 with Markus is a bit overrated, 20 without would be underrated. But it's a hot take world we're living in.

I think MU without Markus would take a while to get into gear, but would end up a solid team by year's end.

I mean winning tests # 2, 3, 4 and 5 still brought a ton of whining

I love the positive pub, but #2 is crazy. #8 or #9 is probably where we'll be in the first preseason poll (assuming Markus stays)

Posters  1 week ago....  “We should be a perennial Top 25 team with high expectations and be a legitimate contender to be National Champions.”

Posters now... “Being ranked in the Top 10 isn’t good, I would rather be under the radar and sneak up on people.”

Give me Top 10 rankings all day long.  That means we are good.  That means we get pub.  That means recruits take notice.  Bring it on.
