Time to merge and create a football division of the Big East.  Set it up with the Big East as we know it but have a separate division consisting of UConn, Cincy, SMU, Memphis, etc with some inter division play and ceded championship.  Bylaws would be set up yo protect basketball division and control brand, etc.

Simple question.  Would any of the seven schools from the Big East that broke away have chosen to do so without the reality that football schools were leaving for the B1G and ACC?

You make it seem like the basketball schools initiated this, which is the furthest thing from the truth.  This was a move to prevent being left out in the cold and having to assimilate into CUSA and the A10.

You're delusional if you think otherwise.

And while we've established that reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, I'm quite a ways removed from being in the zip code of pissed off.  I'm enjoying a really good NCAAT.

If UCONN, Memphis, Cincinnati want to quit the AAC and drop football, fine.  Until...no thanks.

SMU has been a disaster the last 30 years except fort this year.
