Dixon/Crean locker room talk
« on: March 08, 2007, 12:25:35 PM »
What do Dixon and Crean tell their respective teams before the game today? I think its something along the lines of Dixon posing the question if they really think that Marquette is capable of beating them thrice in a season, playing to the competition. Crean of course is telling them that they're prepared (i mean they just played 5 days ago) and of course TC will throw in a promo for diet pepsi before during and after the game

On this subject, was it just me, or did it look like TC was drinking a normal pepsi yesterday? I only saw him drinking a soda at the end of the game, and the can looked dark blue.

I just thought it was kinda funny - was he splurging for the BE Tourny?  :D

I thought it was a Miller Lite when I looked at it, but I guess a Pepsi would make more sense.

If Red Auerbach could fire up a victory cigar, I say TC should start a new tradition of cracking a Miller Lite once a game is locked up.  Not really sure it sends the right message to the kids, but I for one would get a kick out of it e v e r y t i m e!

And bring some extras when he comes to thank the students at the end?

I would love that - except Crean doesn't drink.  :-\
But I like to throw handfuls...

hmm.. maybe a cardboard shot slam... that's it.

or he can use the non-drinker's replacement shot that was defined.. what was it.. 1/3rd tobasco, 1/3rd club soda, and 1/3rd mustard with a dash of salt and two of pepper?

maybe he can pull a Stone Cold Steve Austin... stand on the table, crack two Miller Lite's... and chug them down over his face......

in all honesty now (although if he did that, he could lose the rest of his games and I would still like the man, and no, I am not a wrestling fan)

Pre-Game speeches.... I don't really care what Dixon says, there "clearly" the best team in the Big East, they can beat a "lowly" Marquette without a speech

if I was Marquette and Tom Crean, I would explain that this team is going to be hungry, and although we have beat this team twice, it doesn't make it a guarantee.  And then to end it, as they go in for a chant with there hands in, before they say anything, Crean pulls a Gene Hackman from the movie "Hoosiers" and say "I love you Guys"   .... its a tradition for me to watch Hoosiers during Championship Week, and I watched it the past two days, hell of a movie
