I think The Post must be attracting a lot of viewers from MU Scoop.
They have made things helpful for those of us intrigued by Animal Justice by automatically updating known animal attacks as they occur. There are so many we need to keep track of . This handy feature is quite helpful.
https://nypost.com/tag/animal-attacks/
Speaking of Animal Justice ,Yesterday a bloodthirsty leopard attacked a court house in India . The Post sites Claw and Order.
The leopard was captured and will be released into the wild .

Wind turbines. Nothing is being milled.
Watched this Irish drama called Southwesterlies.
Their community was going to get a wind farm. The fisherman opposed it because they said the infrasound would scare the fish off.
Had to see if the drama was correct and sure enough, the wind turbine infrasound seriously mess with the fish senses.
Soooo, guess it is all a matter of the technology having various shades of green.

11 reported bites.
And that's not counting the dog.

Rather odd Mountain Lions would be in Nebraska. It sounds like they had no idea what to do. Very sad.

I blame Jeb Bush for all the Middle East entanglements he dragged the US into.

I don’t think that’s remotely odd. Plenty of mountain lions in Wyoming, Colorado, and the Dakotas. And the Nebraska town in question is right on the SD border. Not like it was roaming the Omaha suburbs.
Unfortunate cause mountain lions are awesome, but far less odd than when one found its way into the Milwaukee suburbs a few times over the last 25 years

yeah, seriously. We got a back tour of the Honolulu Zoo. We got to pet a rhino, be face to face with lions, when it came time to see the hippos, we quietly crept up to their pen in groups of 2 at a time.
They were adorable but the vet zoo was adamant that they were the most dangerous animals in the zoo. He made sure we were absolutely silent the entire time.
Orangutans were a close second in his list of danger. We were allowed to be far closer to the lions, tigers, bears and elephants than orangutans.
BTW for those going to the tournament, if you go to the Honolulu zoo, sit on the bench dedicated to Kruger near the rhino exhibit. He was a helluva rhino. Friendly and playful. Would come over to see you if you knew his name.

Ty for this info pbi. Rhinos are among the coolest animals on the planet. And definitely underappreciated. Baby Rhinos behave exactly like puppies when they are orphaned and under loving human care. They and elephants have wrongfully suffered and it's beyond unacceptable.
Now they do have poor eyesight so occasionally they take out a truck that scares them but in general they are calm, cool, and collective. When they are panic mode they are living tanks as they can run 35 mph at 4000 lbs, but truthfully they are not vindictive. If they were they would smash villages regularly with immense force and power.

There's mountain lions everywhere in Nebraska. Have had several sightings of one in west Omaha this summer. The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned. The less idiot deer trying to kill themselves by jumping in front of my car the better.

There are sightings every year in Wisconsin, mostly in the southwest part of the sate. The DNR insists they aren't breeding here but not everyone believes that.

Yeah their natural range includes all of the lower 48 states and their populations were hunted to extinction in most of the eastern states. Would makes sense they'd slowly move east since they're territorial and are capable of traversing long distances. There's plenty of deer for them to eat that's for damn sure.

Many years ago, a story got out of a hospital ER about a guy who came in with a clawed and bitten Mr. Johnson. Asked how it happened, he said he was watching TV naked, and his bored cat suddenly attacked Mr. Johnson. Muggsy would probably say the guy provoked the cat.

Is this the weirdest rule in sports?
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Iditarod officials on Wednesday imposed a two-hour time penalty on musher Dallas Seavey for not properly gutting the moose he killed during the race earlier this week.
Race marshal Warren Palfrey convened a three-person panel of race officials to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of the moose, which became tangled up with Seavey and his dog team early Monday, about 12 hours after the dayslong race officially started. One dog was injured in the encounter and flown back to Anchorage for care.
If a musher kills a big game animal like a moose, caribou or buffalo in defense of life or property during the race, rules require they gut the animal and report it to officials at the next checkpoint.

didn't Schroeder hall have a floor of dudes who formed a group of "mischievous jokesters" and called themselves the "moose men"? no idea where and how the name came about but some the "activities" they carried out were legendary.
just another way to burn off the every day stresses of college life, I guess. I doubt however, they and their activities had anything to do with moose abuse though-they had to draw the line somewhere... ;D

Have we determined who would win between a Gorilla and a Bear?
This question is somewhat nuanced Herman. It certainly depends on the size of the bear. If you're wondering what a Polar, large Brown, or Kodiak bear would do in this scenario? It wouldn't end well for the Silverback.

We need a five-point plan for dealing with these terrorists.
A sailing yacht has sunk in Moroccan waters in the Strait of Gibraltar after being rammed by an unknown number of orcas, Spain's maritime rescue services said.
Two people onboard the vessel, Alboran Cognac, were rescued by a passing oil tanker, after the incident at 0900 local time (0800 BST) on Sunday.
It is the latest in a series of orca rammings of vessels around the Strait of Gibraltar over the past four years.

The Gibraltar Orcas have been warning people for months. Again, they're mad about something. We should tread lightly and see if we can figure out their needs.
Meanwhile, I'm extremely unhappy with the Japanese government. They are going to hunt Fin Whales, our 2nd largest animal on the planet. Totally inexcusable and homicidal behavior. The rapacity and pure evil of many human beings continues to anger and disgust me. Look at the 1900 populations of our beautiful animals compared to now. Why??? WTF did they do to us?? It's a stain on the human race that I will never get over or understand. Leave our endangered species alone and let them thrive.

You're the guy on the Israel topic wondering why everyone is making a big deal over the killing of Gazans. But you're here calling whale-killings "homicides."
-
Of course, experts from the organization Wild Orca who study orca behavior do not know what they are talking about, because they have not correctly identified the cause of the orcas' behavior as Scoop's self-appointed authority has, but just for fun...here is an excerpt from a Scientific American article which quotes them:
"The safe rescue of everyone involved, however, suggests to Deborah Giles that these orcas don’t have malevolent motivations against humans. Giles, science and research director of the Washington State–based nonprofit conservation organization Wild Orca, points out that humans relentlessly harassed killer whales off the coasts of Washington and Oregon in the 1960s and 1970s, capturing young orcas and taking them away for display at marine parks. “These are animals that, every single one of them, had been captured at one point or another—most whales multiple times. And these are whales that saw their babies being taken away from them and put on trucks and driven away, never to be seen again,” Giles says. “And yet these whales never attacked boats, never attacked humans."
The above is obviously not true as it does not address the anger of the orcas as Scoop's authority on their behavior has irrefutably stated as the cause.
