Title: Nick Williams on TV again tonight
Post by: NYWarrior on December 28, 2006, 06:31:22 AM
nice win last night for LeFlore -- loads of talent on that team. Nick had 16 points, 15 through the first three quarters.  He's on the tube again tonight at 7:45pm CST......some details on the blog if interested.

I'm sorry for posting twice in a row, but i couldn't watch that high school game anymore.  Nick Williams team is awful.  i don't know how they are ranked 11 in the country.  i have never seen more individuals on the floor at once.  they play lazy defense and just reach in hoping for steals, then if they get a steal and fast break, forget about a pass.    nick could probably have 30 a game if his teammates would pass the ball.  whoever comes up with the ball takes it in for a terrible shot.  their coach looks like a complete douche who coaches the kids to play that way.  not once did i see them swing the ball or make the extra pass to someone who was wide open, a lot of times the one wide open was williams.  it honestly doesn't appear that they have any set plays.  just my thoughts on the game.  Nick still looks like a solid player, considering he is only a junior.  good thing he plays AAU so that he can develop some of his skills.

Their PG Blake handles the ball way too much, and is always looking for his own shot first. It didn't look like LeFlore ran any type of offense in the second half. Very little movement, little passing, Williams was the only one screening and half the time his teammates ignored the screen. Pretty brutal game to watch.

I think Nick is a very good prospect-----was a great catch and shoot trey shooter in the two games (over 50%), passes very well, doesn't take it to the hoop much though and when he does he doesn't look to finish but to lay off which is fine, if that's what the situation warrants.

On the negative side, he supposedly gets 10 rebs/game-------I didn't see that -----he goes for the ball all the time with one hand and doesn't control it-----must be counting touches as rebs!

Lefore losses 12 seniors this year if i heard the announcer correctly-----means NW will be the whole show next year!
