I dont know about you, but every time I go to a bar it costs more than $30.

Haha that’s right for me too. There’s a bit of a pennywise pound foolish thing going on. But having the motivation to get out of the house and post up is generally worth the difference.

YTTV HAS Fox FS1 FS2 CBSSN. It will solve alot of problems.
Yep, I have You Tube TV for 3 years now. Love it! Before, I had Spectrum Cable. Both have CBSSN in glorious HD. I enjoy the studio coverage and enjoy a network that has the rights to the NCAA Tournament cover the Big East Conference.

First time watching an Army-Navy basketball game.  Does Bill Laimbeer have a son who plays for Navy?

This game is getting a little….heated

I cut the cord and went to YouTube tv. Haven’t missed a game yet! And I live in South Florida.

Remember the days when you had to call sports line in Nashville, where the Marquette score was buried with 200 other games. Or, living in Chicago, when an ultra low power station in Arlington Heights got the radio broadcasts of our games.

Only thing I’ll complain about is Dickey V. I laughed at Wally today when he picked the Hall and knew he was an idiot.

No complaints from me. I’ve been able to stream every game here in Thailand. High speed Internet and good streaming options are a wonderful thing. The only pain involved is the 12 hour time difference from EST.

And I remember after leaving MKE for FL calling the Journal to get the MU score. Those were the pre-internet days.

The upgrade to include CBSSN for me would be about $30/mo, so I haven’t done it considering it would literally be just for this half dozen games. When I see that games are on CBSSN I go “oh goddammit” but I still count myself lucky that for all intents and purposes, FS1 is otherwise the Marquette basketball channel. We’ve been spoiled between the fox contract and the old pre-ESPN+ espn3 world in that almost all Marquette games have been available with any package that includes espn and FS1. Having to schlep to a bar for these couple games is a pretty small price to pay. I have a feeling that whenever the next BEast broadcast deal gets signed, accessibility is going to get worse, not better.

What about just changing the channel package for gamedays and switch back the next day?

I used to have to add DirecTV's sports package for 1 day to get some MU games prior to the FOX contract.

Had to call the MU SID office while home on spring break in '90 to find out if MU made the NIT. Didn't really want to wait 12 hours 'til the next morning.

CBSSN buys these from Fox. Fox gets a premium for better games. Maybe it's a good thing?

That’s what I thought as well. Fox probably gets to protect a certain number of games. Someone at CBS is getting a promotion for scooping up Marquette games.

In 2003, when we broke the "Carolina Curse," the win at Charlotte was not on TV anywhere. We listened to it on our alarm clock radios, in our apartment.

Man, has any school fallen off more with conference realignment than Charlotte? I haven’t thought about them in ages.
