Those were guys with more established games in year one of a new system. They needed the proven guys to score because the kids weren't ready. But since then, these guys have been drilled on paint and threes. They know what the offense wants and what they are supposed to do in it. I don't expect any radical shot chart changes.

I think two things are true...

1. There have been obvious circumstances where attractive female athletes received undue attention. Kournikova is a great example. Sure she was the #8 singles player in the world, but never won a singles title at any professional event. I'm sure there are dozens of players with similar records who we have never heard of.

2. To the credit of sports media, they have gotten way better at this over the past couple of decades. Frankly I think ESPN deserves a ton of credit for how they talk about and how they cover female sports and female athletes. TBH, if we went back in time, I think we would be shocked at the differences - the words used, the images used, etc.
