Let's say, hypothetically of course, that U of F offers Crean and he takes the gig. Not a bad place to coach with no state income tax and great weather. Super basketball conference, fertile recruiting area, and in my opinion, football is an asset and not a detriment. Think about bringing a recruit in on a football Saturday and watch the crowd go nuts as Urban Meyer's group kicks heine.
So, if Crean is offered and answers the call, as I suspect he would, who is the next Warrior's coach? Nah, its not too late to get a quality replacement. What you do is raid another program and rip off their coach. Wouldn't surprise me if Majerus bends over and blows a kiss good-bye to SLU. Can you dig the visual?

Head of Basketball Operations in the interim until MU can find an AD in a year or two.
-
dont think Rick would do it nor do I think it would work. You have to be super aggressive to win here - Oneill, Crean....
-
Crean says he's happy at MU.
But is that just a bargaining chip or how he truly feels?
-
to announce he's seeking the job? Of course, he's interested especially if the money is right. The question remains whether he's accomplished enough or potentially can accomplish enough for Florida to want him.

Earlier at the NBA pre-draft camp in Orlando, Memphis coach John Calipari and Marquette coach Tom Crean both said they are not candidates for the position.

That's good, and not surprising news.
Sorry 4everwarriors, Harrison, and PRN. Looks like Crean will pass on this job as well.
-
i do not want Crean to go to Fla,...now that Majerus has taken the SLU job
-
Crean would be crazy to take the Florida job. How do you follow two national championships. The next coach, whoever it is, will be out in five years. Florida will descend back to its normal place in college basketball.
I was here the first time Majerus was coach and I do not see why anyone would be excited about him coming back. He at best is a five year option.

Amen Bilsu - the first round of Rick Majerus was painful enough.
