Big East basketball schools carry the day
« on: March 12, 2007, 08:10:40 PM »
Worth noting that while Jimmy B. may be jokingly talking about the demise of the Big East and working his alumni into a lather about it on message boards, it again was the Big East "basketball" schools that carried the day.

Villanova
Marquette
Georgetown
Notre Dame (not in Big East football)

Only two of the football schools earned bids this year (though it should have been three)
Pittsburgh
Louisville

its a good thing ND is not a Big East football school, or the league would not have earned that shiny trophy for the conference with the best overall bowl record this past season
