It seems like the momentum for this entire thing is draining. We will see if it’s still around in a few years.

I saw this becoming an all alumni teams tournament every summer and thought it was an amazing idea. Guess I was wrong though.

It did go farther then I thought it would the first time I heard of it.

Heard Joe Chapman on a podcast today. Said the MU big guys weren't available for one reason or another this summer.

He mentioned DG, Chris, Luke and Ooze.
Luke is playing for the Armenia national team, world qualifier tournaments are going on this week

So it's down to Jerel and Travis that I'm actually looking forward to watching :(

Do you guys think they reach out to guys that transferred from MU?

Tens of others I suspect.

Last year DG and Buycks were the only two that could pit the ball in the basket.  Shocking how far Jerel and some of the others have fallen off, not spring chickens anymore, bu they really struggled.  Id be suprised with more than a win or two this year without them.

You should be very surprised by Diener, who may be the best player in the entire tournament. Plus isn't Jamil Wilson on the team? I expect him to do some good things.

Weird.  Hope it never takes off beyond the TBT.  Adding 7 points at the 4 minute mark is just crazy.  Sure, it cuts down on fouls, but..........?

Hate it.  Nobody even tried once the clock got turned off.

Unrelated, but how in the world can WatchESPN have such a bad stream for TBT?  I understand how trying to watch the NCAA Football National Title might be slow with millions of people trying to watch it, but this garbage product they throw out there is unwatchable.  Just skips multiple possessions at a time.  I never have a problem with any other similar streaming sites (FoxSportsGo, when I've streamed the NBA Playoffs on TNT's website it was totally fine, etc.).  ESPN's is always awful.

Yeah, the flow of the game really changed.  The streaming was fine on my iPad.

Lol, Diener looks old and not very good IMO.

It sounds like I'm not missing anything.

It was a good idea, but it's difficult to keep niche sporting events even semi-relevant.

#mubb (TBT) up 39-33 against St. John's. eFG%: MU 48.7%, StJ: 46.8%. 68.4% of MU's FGAs have been threes, mostly LOOOONG threes. #TBT2018

Golden Eagles had the chance to put it away but Johnnies got back into it at the end of the third. Good guys lead 58-54 with one quarter to play.

Marquette leads 70-59 as the Elam Ending begins. Appropriately, the target number is 77.

Jamil Wilson with the walk off three. He finishes with a game high 29. I believe that included 9 made threes. Check my Twitter @brewcity77 for video of the last shot. Final score 78-67.

One nice thing about the Elam ending is that the game always ends on a winning shot.

And did anyone else notice the Elam score was 77? Of course we were going to win.

For you guys who weren't there. Jamil started stroking the ball. Diener is still a really really good player with amazing court awareness. Props to Rel, D Wilson and Acker for playing really well.

And kudos to St. John's.  5 guys played the entire game. Maximum effort. Thanks for flying out.

Good crowd. It was fun. Tomorrow at 1p
