The day after
« on: September 22, 2016, 03:44:40 PM »
I got a pleasant surprise this morning, a co-worker was cleaning out his basement and found a box of Milwaukee Sentinels from historic dates (JFK's death etc.)

He gave me the one dated Tuesday March 29, 1977. Yes it's yellow and smells musty but pretty cool IMO.

I have the sports section from that date [hermetically sealed in a large mayonnaise jar  ;) ].

Still have mine.

Lots of people wonder how I can remember the exact date of the 747 crash in the Canary Islands....

I have the Sentinel, Journal and Marquette Tribune from that day down in my basement. I think I'm going to have one of them framed for my office in Florida.
