Meet Tyshawn Taylor

With thanks to a commenter below, check out this link to view a terrific video on highly regarded PG Tyshawn Taylor.   Taylor, who hails from the legendary St. Anthony's program in New Jersey, is expected to visit Marquette soon.

Hate to be a pessimist but he's not coming... he stated in his interview that he wants to go to a school where he's gonna play right away.  Seeing how Iman opted to go to GT because of concerns on playing time and the number of guards, I doubt this lower ranked player would be in a position to get enough playing time as a freshmen.

BTW... I wasn't sure, did he say he likes to run?!?  ::)

Well he is not going to GT based on playing time unless he is thinking he is going to beat out SHumpert for PG duties.  Shumpert didn't go there to play the 2.  I think we actually have a shot at him but I dont know if we need him.  WE need a big.  Who else is Taylor considering?

VaTech and KU......unclear if KU has offered though, but a month or so ago he was gushing over the Jayhawks

He said he wants to play right away, but does not have to start. If James is leaving, he will get significant playing time and probaly would start. I believe we lost Shuppert because he always dreamed of playing in ACC, not because he was worried about playing time.
