Sounds like a "very active" shooter with "multiple victims" at Miller Coors in Milwaukee.  Police are warning people to stay clear of the 4000 block of State Street.

Prayers to the victims and those involved.  I'll refrain from the political comments I could make, as those have been made over...and over...and over...and over.

@MarquettePD
Marquette Police are responding with MPD to reports of a critical incident at Molson Coors. There is no active threat to campus at this time and no buildings need to go on lockdown.

@MarquettePD
The critical incident occurring at the Molson Coors campus is near the 4000 block of West State Street. Please stay clear of this area. We offer our prayers and support for the family and friends of those affected and for the entire Molson Coors family.

I'm way more worried about this than coronavirus.

damn, a sickening tragedy.

This was a strange statement. Does anyone want to interpret it for me? Is she saying kids are doing the shooting or kids are being shot?

“It’s crazy. Milwaukee is getting real crazy. It just needs to stop. So much violence in Milwaukee. Too many kids around. I know over there there’s plenty kids around that area, and I just pray that everybody’s safe,” she said."

I imagine that's a reference to the schools (and homes) that are very close to MillerCoors.

I would interpret that as concern over the safety of the many children in the vicinity of the incident.

According to the Journal Sentinel, Ferrill (the shooter) believed workers at the facility “were coming into his home, bugging his computer and moving chairs around.”

Sure is good that this guy could get a gun, no problems there

I'm not necessarily saying any reason is a good reason for a civilian to buy a gun, but "people breaking into my home" at least seems like one of the better reasons.

"coming into his home".  Not armed robbery, corporate espionage.

Totally. Let's give weapons to all the paranoid schizophrenics who think people are following them around.

Sure... but if someone breaks into your home, I'm pretty sure they don't announce their intentions.  (And if they do, it's a landshark.)

I know you're not implying that this guy was a responsible gun owner even in the broadest sense of the term, but, well, there it is.

Yes... I understand the point you are trying to make, and yes I am also deliberately mis-characterizing your words to make some manner of point, which - although I'm not exactly sure what it is - it's probably something along the lines of: The NRA's commentary being guaranteed to be even more illogical, and frankly, this is why we can't have a civil discussion on firearms because the issue has become so polarizing and so politically intertwined that the immediate reaction is not to think rationally and constructively, but rather to simply shrug it off and offer thoughts and prayers, not for the victims, but for the success of the political fundraising campaign being launched tomorrow on the back of broken sound bites, speculation and hyperbole.

Whatever my point is, the important thing is that I got it out there before I really thought my words through.  God Bless America 2020.
