Oso seems like a Shaka big.  I think he'll see modest minutes next season, but I expect he'll contribute his junior and senior seasons.

I was actually surprised he was recruited  to Texas. Thought Shaka was going after much more immediately impactful guys. But it gives me hope in his future that Shaka had/has a vision of him.

I am prepared for more dunking!!

Especially on the road vs. Providence. Dunk at the Dunk and drive Cooley batty.

It's been years, but I can still see Cooley desperately trying to avoid the Bradley Center bat. He draped a towel over his head, a sign of things to come when in another season he split the seam on his pants and wrapped a towel around himself.

I actually wonder if Shaka was already learning and applying the Jay Wright lesson of too many big time recruits. He went after big fish his first two years at Texas, then seemed to bring in more guys that projected as 3-4 year players after that. He did bring in Greg Brown, but that was to a loaded team where a top-10 player was a luxury, not a need. And they were a 3-seed and ranked in the top-10 most of the year, so it seemed to be working, at least last year.

Do we need to bring the Dunk Counter back? I think that went away during the Acker/Cubilian starting backcourt year.

That season was peak Cooley antics. I love it when they put the microphone on Cooley for a whole game, the guy does nothing but work the refs all game long.

Cooley beat Shaka a couple of years ago on the road, so we may have some good Shaka Cooley rivalry games.

Shaka's thoughts after first workout. Wow these guys are bad! I'm going to
have to replace half of this team. Should take about two weeks.

Actually in his presser today he said he was really impressed at how hard they went after loose balls in the drill.

I saw comments on here about the whereabouts of Garcia.  Dawson was just recently on vacation in Florida.  He ran into my buddy, his former head coach at Prior Lake, on the beach and he's looking forward to going through the NBA evaluation process.  My friend was surprised to see him there.  It was sheer coincidence they ran into each other.

Watched the presser. Also watched every game last year. Shaka had to find
something kind to say. Don't recall seeing an over abundance of diving on the
floor for loose balls last year. I remember getting out hustled often.

Why does he have to find something nice to say and why pick that. No he doesn't need to find anything nice to say. He was asked about him diving for balls im practice.

I'll be excited when he can consistently do that when Samuels or Gillespie are guarding him.

A different opinion about Shaka

That first video looked like a Markus move except he would be taken the ball out and done the ball reversal, followed by iso, himself after ignoring the open corner three.

Is Shaka Wojo in disguise?  I freaking hope not but you could literally break down 20 bad basketball plays every single game for every single team nightly.

Lets find out for ourselves how this goes down before getting negative (and I’m not saying you are tower).  Duke and Kentucky and Texas tech with Chris beard all have similar film every game.
