Fr. Kelley passed away quite a while ago, but the memorial service was delayed due to Covid.

Yes, April of 2020.  Nice that we can now formally say goodbye.

96, wow.  Rest in peace.

The only anecdote I have about him is more about Crean.

My old boss was Al McGuire's godson.  Crean invited him to an away game vs Pitt, travelled with the team, watched the ballroom practice, hovered in the locker room, etc.

Minutes before game time, Crean gives the team a final pep talk, riddled with salty language.

"These effing guys, eff them, their coach, eff the horse they rode in.  The effing refs are out to get us and eff the fans of this effing arena, let's go effing murder these effing guys, eff yeah.  Ok, Fr. Kelly give us a blessing!"
