I had picked Butler, thought they were better and at home.  Not impressed tonight because of MU's defense.  Like Rafferty said, they miss a Kelan Martin because their bigs are not very good and very slow. Well, they were good at tipping the ball back on offensive boards, thats about it. I bet half of their points were a result.  Maybe one of you stats guys can determine number of BU points off offensive rebounds.

Bailey is so long with his arms, a nightmare for opponents.  He looks much taller than 6ft 8. Just needs to make a few of those open threes.

Theo, no foul trouble and no points, but four blocks and  four bounds.  Morrow with four, one and six.  Add it up, come to four points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. Nice.

Take any win when we have 16 turnovers on the road, score on first possession and then miss on next eight, foul issues with two best players and win by 18.  Great fortitude by the team.

I’m really amped up for the revenge game with the Johnnie’s. I’m glad it’s before Nova, and I hope we trounce them next Tuesday night.

This win, at Hinkle, finally . . .  can I get on the bandwagon?

This was really nice. Definitely a NET win.  ;D

Love the constant evolution of this team. Big scorers, tough defense, everyone stepping up big when we need them. Wojo has a hell of a team and system going right now.

With 2 minutes left, I started muttering about clearing the bench.  I wonder if Wojo looks at the net and decided to maintain the lead.

Special night, special win.

Defense, defense, defense.

New big 3 tonight, great game sacar.

Not sure why tonight was the night but I moved Markus into the best I’ve ever seen at Marquette and by connection in ncaab. Mr Wade you were amazing, but Mr Markus is the best college ball player I’ve ever seen. Must see tv can’t wait for the next

Ha, I guess Hinkle is my Ners moment.

Always expect a run from any home team that's down in the second half, but was admittedly a tad more nervous during that one  ;D

My favorite play from Markus.....  He has that big switched on him.  Quick drive to the left to force retreat and then the step back 3.  It literally looked unfair it was so automatic.  We all knew exactly what was coming.  Unstoppable.

5.   A couple of stretches of sloppy play.    A whole lot of mewling.   It is going to happen with a motion filled, sharing the ball style offense.    Unless you want to see nothing but isolation and more hero ball.  Sometimes turnovers happen.

[/quote]
I think this is a little bit of an over generalization. There is certainly room for improvement in this department. I don’t think turnovers are a necessary byproduct of our offense. Yes, we have overcome our turnovers.....but I’m not on board with “sometimes turnovers happen.”

Other points were spot on.

I have watched this about 30 times just to see the bench's reaction.

Sloppy, sloppy.

But this was exactly the kind of game in whch a top 10 team has to assert itself, and they did. Glad to get off the schneid with Hinkle. Now: payback to the Johnnies - don't be looking past them to Nova.

After X, it seemed like the zebras were pretty good.

Loving the D, not so much the TO's.  You can justify all you want, but the sloppiness will end up biting them.  Great team game.

That and a little softness on the D glass tonight.  But all in all, probably our most complete game.  Certainly on the road for sure.

I gotta wonder....

How many on this board said "step back three" (or some version, thereof)  either out loud or just thought it when they saw the big man switched onto Markus?

Was watching with my wife and the words out of my mouth before the shot were "Steph Curry stepback".

Awesome. Cain starts dancing on his chair as the shot goes up, Joe C bends backwards as it falls, Bailey slaps his head back, and Greg calmly strums his air guitar. They all knew it was going in.
