brian wardle found a good one.  UWGB recruit out of chicago many passed over.  not only was he a great person, but a really good baller.  see the documentary on prime video that follows him from high school thru college, the NBA draft, his cups of coffee at cleveland, san antonio, and finally south korea.  he became the only horizon baller to score over 2,000 points(2096) 500 rebounds and 400 assists.

whats more, it takes you thru the life experiences of good people trying to live thru the every day trauma of inner big city life. he maintains close contact with guys he grew up playing ball with and who happened to be shot and injured during the time the video was being shot. they mixed in a lot of the emotions of what it takes to persevere in the inner city without over doing it.  kiefer had the luxury of being raised by 2 parents and a close knit family.  he did have a child before he left high school whom you 'll see grow.  UWGB was the perfect fit for him

how they do these docu-videos is amazing.  how do they know that they are capturing a real story here until it plays out as it does?  ya gotta think these docu-people had to bail on many of their films as they didn't play out nearly the way they would have envisioned from the start.  this is a must see.  fluff-you get to know kiefer at all?  he is an amazing human being

I just know his name and background.  Do you have a link to the documentary you are talking about?  He's supposed to be a great guy with an engaging personality.

It’s called Chi-Town, I believe it’s on Amazon Prime.

Fun fact, Sykes went to Marshall HS...same as Arthur Agee from Hoops Dreams, which this doc feels very similar to.

Also crazy, on his HS team was Alfonso McKinnie, who went to Eastern Illinois but then transferred to play with Sykes at UWGB. His professional journey is documentary worthy too. Had zero looks after college, went to Luxembourg, and not even to their mediocre first league, he played in their semi-pro second league. Then Mexico, and still he had to pay $200 to try out for the Bulls G League team. Made it and within a year was signed by the Raptors and a proper NBA deal with the Warriors a year later.

But Chi-Town is a great doc

It’s called chi-town. You will see from the docu that he is really well put together. Wise and mature beyond his years

after the first sentence I thought it was going to be about MU replacing Wojo with Brian Wardle.
