DePaul's Provost Resigned. ... Affect MUs Search?

DePaul hired Donald Pope-Davis as Provost.  He came to DePaul from ND.  He started last February.

Last week he unexpectedly resigned.  He will take a 6 month sabbatical and return to DePaul as a tenured professor in the psychology department both teaching and doing research.

MU is looking for a Provost too.  Two similar schools 90 miles apart looking for the same thing.  Do you think this neagtively affects MUs search?

I doubt MU will fill the Provost position before it fills the Presidential vacancy.

Well, I guess one thing DePaul and Marquette both have learned is to not hire people from Notre Effin Dame!

Do you look for any reason to conduct a poll or survey, no matter how tangential and obtuse?

That Marquette and DePaul are both looking to hire a provost is cause for concern and worrisome to you?
