Play was clean.  Fulce was standing with arms straight up.  Xavier twisted and jumped into Fulce and his head went right into Fulce's elbow.

Fulce was standing straight up with his arms in the arm and Xavier bumped into his elbow.  Totally clean.  Unfortunate for Xavier.  Response was totally inappropriate.

For what it's worth, the ESPN announcers agreed that it was a clean play and didn't understand why he was so upset.

ABSOLUTELY CLEAN.  no reason for a fan to come on the court (as if there ever is) or for him to go crazy on his way to the locker room.

Yes, very clean and not even close to being an issue.  Still don't get Xavier's over reaction.  His teamates didn't even blink an eye at the foul.

Absolutely clean.  Xavier had nothing to complain about, and it didn't even really look like Fulce made much contact at all.

there wasn't even a foul.  I honestly didn't even see him get hit in the face.  he and his brother acted like real bi+ches in the aftermath.

Tv guys said later in the game that he was partially upset because they didn't call a foul on the play (apparently Fulce got whistled for a foul against McDermott 0.5 seconds later).  I suspect you get a whistle on a play like that with an injury most of the time at home, though something in the back of my mind says the same thing has happened without a foul at Marquette a couple of times (minus the visitor on the court).

It's as clean as if I held by elbow out and you ran your face into it.

Providence looks bad by the reaction of Xavier and the fan. If it happened at Bradley I would be embarrased

it was a foul except it was not called the foul was called a second later and Mcdermott went to the line.  it also was not his elbow it was his hand,  but it was a foul...Bottom line if he does not bleed it is a none event.  Stuff happens.  Bush league on his brother and he should have gotten atech for his antics as he left s well.  Unintentional but when big men play hard stuff happens

Fulce had his arms straight up and the player ran into him. I did not realize at first that the foul was not called, but looking at it in the replay I did not think it was a foul at all.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the elbow that got him... When they showed the replays it looked like one of Joe's fingers got him.  I think he poked/ scratched his eye

Up on YouTube

EDIT: Now that I look at it, it may have been Fulce's left hand.

Xavier also took a few extra steps before contact was even made.  Crazy reaction all the way around.  Buzz did the right thing by pulling his players back.  The refs could have called a T on the brother, on Xavier and on Buzz who came on the floor and out of the box.  Where was Keno?

I noticed that too.

There's a feeling that this is a disjointed team. NO ONE on the PC team came to check on Xavier. The first person there was the trainer (I believe) then the first player (GMac) came along. The rest seemed to stand around and look.

I know that MU guys are very responsive to their teammates who are on the floor.
