[Paint Touches] Bid probabilities for all bubble teams

Think of this as an extension of the rooting guide. Not just who should win/lose, but how that result will impact that team's chances (using TRank).

Appreciate the feedback, here's the update. we could see a lot more clarity (and a lot fewer slots open) after today.

Great stuff as always from Andrei.  Thanks for the effort.

Update bump. The bubble has settled and it looks like MU will be left just on the wrong side of the cutline. Time to light some candles.

St. Mary’s getting in over us would be quite the departure from past years. Other than RPI, I don’t see anything that is better than our resume. Their non conference SOS alone should keep them behind us.

Marquette (and ND/OSU/Louisville/Cuse/MTSU/Baylor/Bama/St. Mary's) all are at the mercy of the committee. They all have legitimate reasons for inclusion, and all would probably be on the right side of the bubble most years.

It is down to the personal preferences of that room this year, and no one can say with confidence what they will prefer. Here's to them loving the Big East.

One more bump. There's no bubble action today, so this should stay fairly stable between today and tomorrow. Big gap between MU and the last team in.

  • I prefer a team that's eligible, not paid for

Thanks for putting the time in Andrei.  A super valuable contribution to Scoop.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
