But rightly points out that we struggle with TOs and likely will need more from other guards like the JCs

When I fill out my bracket for March Madness, one of the strategies I use is to look for teams with dominant scorers who can take over a game. The theory being that if that scorer can go bonkers for a stretch of few games, that team could outperform expectations. It has served me well some years (Kemba and UConn, Buddy Heild and Oklahoma) and has served me not so well other years (Trae Young and Oklahoma). Markus Howard is the exact type of player I look for when filling out my bracket.

Steph Curry helped me win a bracket with that strategy.   I was one of two people in the pool nailed the title game. But I had Davidson in the Elite 8, which put me over the top.

First time I thought this was watching Wally Szczerbiak (had to look that spelling up!). He dropped 40+ in one game and Miami-Ohio got to the sweet-16. At the time I thought back to Larry Bird and Indiana State and realized that a great player on a no-name team could go a long way.  More than any other thing, I felt the College career and NCAA tourney run showed Bird's real greatness. Magic had a team that was too much for even Bird.

I agree that a crazy Howard game is primed for this year's tourney....just cant wait.

Please explain what the +8000 means. Of all those teams Marquette had the highest number.

Marshall Henderson was one of my favorites of this genre

If you lay $100, you win $8000.  In other words, we have the longest odds of the teams on that list.

See that one served me well and didn't. I did have them beating Bucky for this very reason but I had them making the Sweet 16. Worth it in the end.

that's incredible.  I put $100 on them last summer at 75/1.  I would've guessed the odds would be lower given MU's start.

Never underestimate the inefficiencies of sports gambling.
