My mentor is my father, not sure what he has to do with this thread.  It was a factual statement that gave no false impression.  Anyone taking a 64 vote sample seriously for a message board by nearly 6,500 members has their own foibles.

YOU were the one who quoted the poll and you were also the one who lumped the "don't cares" with the "bring him backs" to give the false impression of a 50/50 split on the matter when the real number was 2 to 1 against. Chicos used to frequently do that sort of thing.

  All I know is when Chicos left, this board became a much better place to visit. No, he was  not the only problem, but an overwhelming, major source of irritant for many people.

 I view the people responding to his agenda driven, inflammatory posts as the symptom and Chico as the cause. 

Now we have his twin, or clone, or whatever the hell he is, acting eerily similar. I would like him to just go away

Honestly, I agree with pretty much everything you said, and I've never said otherwise.  My point has always been that as much of a pain in the ass as Chico's was sometimes (often?  always?), there was a handful of posters on this board who seemed determined to antagonize him at every turn (and he was an idiot to constantly take the bait -- and I've told him that).  He's gone.  They're still here.  And they're still spending a surprising amount of time talking about a poster who's been gone for seven months.  Oh, and they have new targets now.

He goes to sites (Dodds, Badgernation, Scoop, etc.), picks fights, gets personal and gets banned. The idea that he's someone being picked on, antagonized, etc., who just "takes the bait" is ludicrous. He does like to play the victim when the argument isn't going his way, though, and I guess some people buy it. You're certainly entitled to your opinion.

I think the constant thread jacking drove BMA away, which was the fault of both sides. I don't think bma was a fan of Ners (which by the way, where is he? Haven't seen him in awhile).

I will say, this board has been a lot better to read. I feel we are having actual discussions of what is happening on the floor and with the team and far less bickering.

Haven't enough Marquette fans left already from here?  Big tent, MU nation.  We agree on some things we disagree on others.

CBB has been gone for 6 or 7 months and BMA hasn't come back.  Maybe there was something else going on.  Do you think?

If I had a $1 for every time someone here called us chokers I would be rich.  He isn't the only one.  Didn't he apologize for those comments?  Did you miss the part about being a Catholic and foregiveness?  

If I had a $1 for every time people were concerned about the number of Junior College players in our program I would be even richer.  He was not the only one.  Tip of the iceburg?  Do you write everything down that he has said?  Should someone go back in and check what you have written here to analyze?

You don't know how interpret polls or data then.  When there is a three choice answer you need to factor in all three choices.  50% wanted him gone.  50% said bring him back or don't care.   That is the truth.  You improperly apply your analysis as if there were two choices.  I'd suggest taking a statistics class or how to interpret polling data.

A small percentage.  That shows me that not many people care or are adult enough to ignore threads or posts they don't like.  Others obsess over certain posters.  Chicos did.  Ners did (where is that guy?).  Lenny's still does.  Ringout still does.  It's personal between them.  I told CBB the same thing.  You made it personal and he agreed with me.  He knows he made mistakes.  Unfortunately the other side is still here doing it.  You guys still talk about him.  

Personally, I miss BMA, Marquette84, the pilot of the Thunderbolt with the Hykus, Chicos, and dozens of others that don't come by here anymore.  Some guys still stop by from time to time, but are scarce posters compared to their past activity.

The board seems more boring to me.  Conversations have less depth.  I enjoyed hearing multiple views.  Now it's a collective voice of one sometimes.  Sultan brought up something a few weeks ago and got hammered by some posters here for reasons I didn't understand.  Ners had an opinion a month or so ago when people went all personal on him.  Respect each other's opinions but encourage diversity of thinking.  That was how the board used to be when I was a reader far before a participant. I'd hate to see it turn into Scout light where 99% of the participants just nod and slap each other on the backside for every thought.
