Gotta go Greg. If he could only shoot.
Honorable to Ty.
-
Greg.
-
Greg the three point shooter
-
Greg Elliot
Kudos to him for his efforts this year
-
Greg

Greg
But Tyler's passing needs an honorable mention with those great assists
-
Greg Elliott
-
No brainer on this one.
But Kolek was once again huge as well with the assists
-
No brainer, Greg Elliot. Warms my heart to say it. Boys, we are trying to build something and every guy is important.
-
Greg. Flamethrower off the bench.
-
Greg
-
Greg but props to Kolek for his 10 assists. And Morsell had his best game in awhile.

Nolonger……..who ya got??
-
Greg obviously, but great support from Tyler, DM, Oso, and Stevie, plus a couple of bombs from Kam.
-
"Greg, way to come in...and be a killer" Shaka.
Shaka votes Greg as SOTG, so I do too.
-
Old Gregg
-
Greg
Morsel
Kolek
-
Ummm…. Greg? Kolek cool too, but Gregory gets it!

GE

Greg!

Greg. Great senior leadership.

It's tempting to make an argument for TK. The offense just doesn't seem to percolate when he's not on the floor.
But it's hard to ignore 25 off the pine. Particularly since he had some nice dimes himself. Even though his initials remind me of one of the few stocks that have screwed me, it's gotta be GE.

GE
-
Easiest one of the season.
Rocky: Ellis
-
Finally the senior leader we expected. Greg.

One more vote for Greg.

Greg was the stud of the game. Multiple players had very good games.
-
It’s unanimous. Call it already! Greg’s the man

"That's Greg being Greg. Not surprised at all. He's as good a shooter as there is." -- Shaka Smart.
Now shooting .500 from 3 this season, .472 these last two seasons when he finally was healthy, .440 for his career. It's not a small sample size. He's a heck of a 3-point shooter, and he has to do it coming in cold off the bench.
Greg's not a star, he is a role player. It just so happens that his role is one of the most important in today's basketball, and he plays for a team that desperately needs outside shooting. Glad Shaka realized the value of that and welcomed Greg back for this season.
Shaka has a good feel on how much PT to give Greg. Some games, 20+ minutes; some games, 10-ish. Next game, Greg might only get 8 minutes and go scoreless; or he might go 20+ again in both minutes and points. He had it going tonight and Shaka obviously was smart to ride the hot hand.
I liked that Greg also had 5 assists. Just a really nice game for one of the team's leaders.

It's Greg, but I think Morsell was a lot closer than some might think. 16 points, no turnovers, 5/6 from the floor and had some grown man finishes through traffic. He sparked the second half run that put the game away.

Loved Morsell's game tonight. It was the first time he's been aggressive on offense in many, many moons.
I don't really think it's "close" because Elliott was pretty special tonight, and we might have been down by 10 at halftime if he hadn't been. But I'd say Morsell and Kolek were 2-3 in whatever order one wants to put them.
-
From the outhouse to the dog house to "the house"! Greg!
-
GE for bringing good things to life tonight!
-
It's a damn shame injuries have really affected him during much of his time at MU. But it's also probably okay at this point because he may have moved on by now if it weren't for them!
-
Greg Elliott. Great performance. Happy for him.
-
Dead eye Greg.
-
On most nights Morsell or Kolek would have been worthy - but last night belonged to GE.
-
GE

Any chance he spends another year at MU?

Any chance he spends another year at MU?
He's eligible to and with us at 12 scholarships, Kur and Morsell leaving, Sean Jones and Chase Ross coming, we could have Greg stick and still add another player.
For Greg, I'm sure it depends on what he wants, but he doesn't look to have an NBA future and if you look at our grads from last year (John, McEwen, Cain) all of them opted to continue playing. Maybe he will do so here, maybe he won't, but I think another year in college where you can either be BMOC (McEwen, Cain) or a contributor on a contender (John) is appealing. At Marquette, it's possible he could be both.
-
Add one more vote to the landslide for Greg.
-
GE and Kolek gets honorable mention
-
Obvious its Greg. but Kolek played a hell of a game.

Totally agree. Morsell had an excellent game, too.

I agree with this analysis.

What's incredible, is that in his 35 years at Marquette this is the first ever SOTG for Elliott. Which means I have to find a picture...

I love the pic you found, rocky. Great work!

Happy he is finally healthy enough to earn one! Been around so long he played at the BC ;D
-
Does Greg have tenure?

It was obviously difficult to find visual evidence of him being a shooter. However, it was easy to find a pic of him mimicking eating Goose's lunch.

Rocky
I am very happy that Greg is shooting the ball well. Only a fxxcking idiot would be hoping he misses. If you feel he ate my lunch, I can live with that. I hope my only incorrect statement on this season is Greg not being a sharp shooting three-point guy. If so, Goose will be eating your lunch and many other folks that had an awfully bleak outlook for the season. Actually, the bleak outlook was summed up with a ton of reasons why the season would be bleak. Again, I am pulling for Greg to eat my lunch for the rest of the year and hopefully next season.
