2 YEARS AND 5 GAMES
« on: November 22, 2023, 12:04:45 AM »
That’s how long it took our coach, coach Shaka Smart, to make Marquette the BEST team in America.

Everyone in here feels it. It’s been a long road.

Anything can happen in March, that’s the next step.

However, BE Champions, BE Conference Tourney Champions.
Just took #1 wire to wire for 40 minutes in a no brainer beat down.

Let’s win tomorrow, but win or loss don’t mistake it….

It took ONLY 2 years and 5 games for SHAKA to make MARQUETTE the BEST TEAM IN AMERICA

Let’s F’Ing Go! WE ARE MARQUETTE!!!

Ah, yes.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Tonight was another step towards the ultimate goal. The better team won and now time to do it again tomorrow.

Two years ago they used grit to steal wins, last year they learned how to win and now they are an elite team. Every game has been part of the process and time to take it to the next level.

We just did Goose.

But yes, win tomorrow.

Any doubts that Marquette does? Not in my mind.

Goose,

You saw the whole picture from day 1.  I was slightly later than you but quickly agreed with your sentiments.  We have yet to play our A game, especially with our 3pt shooting, but look out when we find our range.

Approx 40 games ago there was a large number of scoopers jumping off the Shaka wagon after the “Feb swoon” and UNC beat down. So, for those non knowing balling fans, it has been one year and five games.

This has been a remarkable achievement by a university, a coach and three years of players, every one of them. Truthfully, I could not be happier for the real diehard fans on scoop, in Hawaii or watching at home. For the non believers, fxxk ‘em.

You’re right, you often are.

Don’t forget though, we are in the minority. Even with this achievement, even if we have March success, until Marquette wins it all we will be in the minority.

You know what though? I’d rather be in the minority on the ground up than in the majority trying to share the glory.

There’s room for all Marquette fans, we are a small-ish nation with massive hearts.

That said, only we know what 2 years and 5 games feels like, because we’ve been here for it all.

We all know that no matter what happens tomorrow we feel blessed to be fans of the best team in America, and how far we’ve come

Chico never knew ball.

Been a while since I posted but is Chicos still around or just now posting under his 15th account?

And hell yes Shaka was a homerun hire even if it took longer than we thought.  #DoneDeal
