Hopefully, they wouldn't want to be with their HS GF at Iowa State.      Dear Bo, deal with it.

That freshman kid on UW, what's his name, did pretty well today as well.  17 points I think.  They really controlled Taylor today.

But I agree, Diebler looks great today.

Stupid thread topic.

OSU 14 of 15 from three point range. Dear Lord.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Our athletic guards like Buycks and Blue get burned fairly easily,  I'd hate to see a guy like Gasser under Buzz's tutelage on D.

I believe Merrit's Stache challenged you to go a week without bringing up UW earlier today?  You couldn't even make it 6 hours?1  Wow.  Your Team Gasser/UW crush is out of control.

How do you reconcile UW getting blown out by 30 points with such a smart, fundamentally sound squad that features Gasser/

And on the topic of Gasser - so Bo lucked out that Gasser fell in his lap - didn't even offer the kid a scholarship until another of his recruits got in trouble and got kicked out UW.  He offered Brust before Gasser.  Enough said.

He's looked great for the last two years...I just love that type of basketball player....some have labeled me a racist for that.  Oh well.  Give me a kid that can shoot the lights out all day and stretch the defense, and I'm in love.

I did not foresee DJO dropping 11 percentage points on his 3 pt fg % from last year.  Maybe other people did.  If Buycks is your 2nd best 3 pt shooter at 42% playing with DJO shooting at 47% like last year, I think that changes things.  Also, it helps to have a dominant big man who is good at passing out of the double team to get guys wide open 3's.  We don't have that right now either.

All I know is that at one point in the OSU game Diebler would have had to miss his next 12 3 pointers just be at 50% for the year....he went on to nail 5 more in a row.

That's nice...I didn't accept the challenge.  UW is not my team....I enjoyed today very much, especially since most of my family is from Ohio (both my parents were from Cleveland and we have OSU alums up and down the family roster).  Believe me, I enjoyed today's ass kicking very much.

I'm still waiting to understand why a few months ago you predicted all these Final Fours and now the expectations are so changed from you.  Have you cooled on Buzz?

I don't understand what you're saying.  He's shooting 49.4% for the year.

Pretty sure Diebler was a 5 star recruit (from Ohio - why would he leave Ohio to come to MU??)  We have a hard time landing 4 star recruits much less 5 star)  So, if I'm a 5-star recruit and my home school the size of Ohio State comes calling, with all of their recent success - why am I going go to Marquette??

I sure as hell hope he would, but he's not a switchable.  In all seriousness, I don't know.  To me the two things we are missing are solid PGs and consistent outside shooting.  We have some decent inside guys that we didn't have in the past, but I've always been a believer in PG play is where it begins and ends in college basketball to be competitive.  To win the whole thing, of course you need bigs as well.  However, if you can get great PG play and have a consistent bomber or two, you can do some serious damage because the defense is so compromised.

I would hope he would go after Novak.

They may have been talking strictly about the Big Ten season. Including today, he finished the Big Ten slate at 53.3% from three.

Diebler was a 4 star recruit by most services (5 star for ESPN) that signed with Ohio State over Valpo and NC State.  He's from Sandusky...home of Cedar Point...best roller coasters in the world!!   ;)

That would make sense.  Either way he's no slouch.  Hopefully, Mellow can approach that number by his sr. year.

I saw during the game that he was 100/188 for the year. Atleast thats what CBS showed. Then he made 5 more to go 105/193
