South Side Irish Parade is Cancelled for 2010
« on: March 25, 2009, 03:32:24 PM »
For the those South Siders at MU, I have some sad news to report. Next year the South Side Irish Parade will be cancelled. You can read it at http://www.southsideirishparade.org/.

I can understand why they had to cancel it with 54 arrests this year and people assaulting cops. But I'm pissed that I won't be able to see friends and family from back home.

If only those north siders could have handled their liquor...

Wow, that's terrible news.  I've gone to it for years and my kids always enjoyed it.  But the crowd has continued to be unruly despite threats by the police.  Its a shame, but I suppose inevitable.
