Pts in the paint = 8. Tell me again about this great PG play we're seeing. Those quality entry passes. I don't care if Magic Dawson plays, but watch the game. The offense is the same or worse, and the defense and rebounding has been appreciably worse  (though that is obviously not all on the PG)

hopefully you forget your post Forgetful. Ox has 11 at the half. He is the only guy who has come to play. Wake up!

There is far more to basketball than scoring points, he may have scored 11, but with poor defense, not boxing out and failing to kick the ball out (instead trying to force things) he has cost us more than he has scored.

He also tried to start another fight by grabbing the Christon and dragging him out of bounds and then subsequently trying to shove him off.  We don't need that.

No, Dawson having the ability to shoot and make a 3. Is different than Derrick barely shooting and not making them.

You should coach Juans adaptive basketball team.

We'll see how X guards Dawson, but I'm guessing they'll let him shoot the 3.

This. I won't disagree about Dawson having a higher ceiling or more willingness to shoot the 3. But that doesn't mean it's better for MU's win chances RIGHT NOW.

But his missed shots look impressive!

so play the guy with limited ability and limited upside or play the guy that has potential to grow?

Not hard. Play the guy that gives you the best chance to win.

I thought we actually looked good out there compared to other games i've seen this season.  Guys are playing hard, more into it, but just not enough talent to win these road games.

Dawsons in the game for a reason..... hes naturally better than wilson.. period..

He's in the game because Derrick has 2 fouls.  Period.

And his defense needs a lot of work.

Stupid question.

Play the guy that gives you the best chance to win now.  That's Derrick if you couldn't tell...which it seems pretty obvious you can't.

This. It's Derrick right now. In a month? Maybe Dawson.

We were doing fine until three starters went out with two fouls each....

Oh--must be an Ox hater. Nobody is playing D. And I guess Derrick tried to start that fight with Christon, also. Wake up--Christon was elbowing Ox.

For the record, it doesn't have to be one or the other. It could be both.

And his defense needs a lot of work.

Buzz played Jake with 2 fouls.  Buzz played Dawson because Derrick got a T (and a 2nd foul) and appeared unfocused.  When in Dawson stepped up and played well.  Buzz went with the player at the moment that was giving MU the best chance to win (Dawson).

That doesn't make Dawson the best player to win in the 2nd half or any other game this season.  But the reason he was playing wasn't simply because of the 2 fouls.

Only down by 6 after Derrick and Jamil sitting most of the first half? Could be a lot worse. Gotta come out strong and start making up the differential at the FT line

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Boy I wish Gardner would actually shoot the ball as opposed to just floating it in the direction if the basket half the time.

Yeah at 9 and 6 Wilson has lead us to a ton of wins.

But we can hang that "No Bad Losses / No Good Wins Banner"
