POLL - Who's skipping work to watch games?
« on: March 19, 2009, 08:23:19 AM »
I usually just sit at a sports bar for about 48 hours this time of year.  Curious how many others follow that strategy...

I'm not supposed to stream the games...

But I'm also not supposed to stream Howard Stern in the morning as well...

I will be taking a 2+ hour hiatus for the MU game though, refuse to watch it on my computer and I don't think anyone in the office will enjoy hearing me scream at a game I have absolutely no influence over

Scheduled vacation for these two days over a month ago.  I decided to come in this morning though since MU isn't playing today.  I'll be bailing around 2pm est.

I'll be taking a 2+ hour lunch in the pub in our office building to watch MU tomorrow.  Fish fry is on the menu.  Streaming is not restricted for the other games.

Last year someone I know (okay it was me) scheduled a vasectomy for the morning of the first day of games.  I was on the couch by noon and watched every game available for the next 96 hours.

Scheduled a bunch of meetings and job interviews no later than 10:30. Skipping all my classes. I will be on my couch for everything except the first half of the first night games tonight.

Best days of the year.

I'm working today but have a vacation day tomorrow.  We're going to be in the ballroom of the Suncoast Hotel in Las Vegas.  They have all the games on there - as do all the sportsbooks.  GO WARRIORS!

CBS's Sportline.com streams all the games for free by the way.  They did the same thing last year.  Its really helpful when CBS is just showing a boring blowout when there is a close game going on at the same time.

Thats funny.  A clinic not far from my house was running a "March Madness Vasectomy Special".

I wasn't ready to make the commitment, but I did take half days.

The picture on my Silverlight player looks a ton better than my crappy TV. I think watching the MU game there will be better.

When you guys are ready to make the commitment, what better time to schedule it?  Your wife will wait on you, too.  All weekend.

I'm also really impressed with the video quality this year, it's pretty amazing.

I'll still be watching the game on my HDTV though.

The Schoolyard is the designated MU bar.  Go there if you can as it will certainly be filled with gold.  Went there last year for the Kentucky game and had a blast.

My guess is they'll have the full game, but they're obviously subject to whatever CBS wants to do.
