New Marquette Volleyball Fan

A female that I teach/coached(in basketball)  has received a full ride scholarship to play volleyball at Marquette University.

Shes the same player who was recently named Gatorade State Player of the Year as well as Under Armour National All-American in Volleyball....

Needless to say, shes the real deal in volleyball (was in basketball too).. as well as a great kid.  For those that get a chance to go see a Marquette volleyball game, go, shes a heck of a player and a heck of a kid, I'll hopefully make many games next year.

Also new Marquette head volleyball coach Bond Shymansky is one of the coolest guys you could ever meet.  Plus he's a winner if you've seen what he did at Georgia Tech.

Awesome hire by Marquette.

Sounds like Bond just hired a heck of a recruiter as an assistant coach as well.  Maybe the volleyball team will make some noise in the future.  Might be the second great hire by Cottingham.  2/2  ;)

It's pretty impressive that they got an assistant at Penn State, who just won the NCAA championship in '08, to take the same position at Marquette.   Sounds like Cottingham opened up the pocket book to make it happen.
