Well, the new owners seem committed to building a winner. They just beat out the Lakers and Knicks to sign Greg Monroe. If they retain Middleton, that gives them a solid core going into next year with Giannis, Parker, and MCW. Still not a finished product, but adding a center that averaged a double/double is pretty significant.

Middleton is signed already.
-
Obviously building a quality lineup to help sell season tickets and luxury suites in Seattle.
-
yessss. Even sweeter being a big east guy
-
Monroe isn't great defensively but that can easily be covered by the rest of the defensive skill on the team. Very good signing.
-
Bulls/Bucks is going to be a rockin' good time. Love it.
-
It will be interesting to see how he does with talent around him.
-
This'll get the new arena deal done now for sure, ai na?
-
We are hearing a lot of (insert name) beat out the Lakers and Knicks. It seems that maybe nobody wants to go watch Kobe and Melo jack up shots all game and still lose.

Very true. The primary differences being that 1) Melo isn't an all-time awful teammate and 2) Kobe is finished but still thinks he's 2008 Kobe.

Technically he isn't. But neither is Monroe. :)

It says to me that after being on bad Pistons teams, Monroe wants to win. Some guys would take the max contract and the favorable residential city. Hell, watch whoever signs with the Kings, cause that will only be for $$ reasons.

+1. Great signing. Fear the Deer!

Wesley Matthews?
-
are people still laughing at the opinion that the bucks will be better than the bulls in 2015-2016?
-
Wesley Matthews?
I know the Kings are interested in Matthews. Any indication that Matthews is interested in the Kings?
-
I'm guessin' Wes is gonna love whatever team throw the most $ at him, hey?
-
whoever helped wesley out with those last minute term papers is hopin for some of that love-heynie?
-
Wes is a very intelligent young man.

I would guess the Kings 16MM per is likely to be the winner. Sucks he'll have to waste his prime in Sacramento

Sounds like he's agreed terms with Dallas.
@daldridgetnt: Wes Matthews has agreed in principle with the Mavericks on a four-year deal, per source. Turned down huge offer from Sacramento.

In principle? Maybe he's pulling a Shaka Smart

I believe there's a moratorium on signing until July 9. All the deals are only in principle right now.

Well, given CA's top income tax bracket, if he was looking at 17-18 a year, he would have lost over $2MM a year, which settles him into parity in Dallas, a much better basketball situation.

I wonder why FAs are avoiding Sacramento?

Great couple days of FA for the Bucks and for MU. Surprised the Badgers players haven't been able to take advantage of the salary cap boom ;D
Monroe is a great get for the Bucks, but by no means a perfect fit (B. Lopez would have been, as weird as it'd be to cheer), since there are significant spacing issues on this team. They badly need Giannis and Parker to be able to knock down midranges to be able to maximize Monroe's passing and keep teams from clogging the lane. Another playmaker hopefully allows MCW to become a better facilitator become a more efficient shooter (with less of them). However, my bets are on Greivis being part of the lineup that will be most productive by YE. Either way, will be exciting to watch.

Didn't want to pay for those pensions, ay ?
