LOUISVILLE IS GOING TO THE NIT
« on: November 30, 2008, 03:35:35 PM »
Louisville is down by 4 with 11 to go.  NIT here they come!  This is the last week they'll be ranked this season!  You heard it here first!  We're 5-1.  We lost to a decent and athletic team.  Good teams play ugly games and lose to teams they should beat quite often.  And whoever said teams that go to the Elite Eight never lose ugly or to teams that they are better then is just flat out wrong.

Well I think he proved a good point. It's only halftime, but let's say Louisville loses. They lost, at home, to a very good mid-major team, just like MU last night.

It's sports, it happens. No need to jump off any cliffs.

It's amazing the amount of energy expended on commenting on what gets said on an internet forum, versus commenting on what actually happened on the court.

You've got the lovers.

You've got the lover haters.

You've got the haters.

You've got the hater haters.

And all 4 groups need to get their pitchforks out, unproductively jabbing the other groups.

They're in meltdown mode on the UofL boards. They're saying they have 4 undersized guards that can't create their own shot and beat their defender off the dribble - only T Will can do this but he can't shoot.

You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

27% FGs? I'd say they played worse than us.

Every year it is the same thing.  The sky is falling and we suck.  This is the third year in a row that I will bring up the UNC national champions that lost early to one of the UC schools either Santa Clara or Santa Barbara.

Last night sucked.

We looked tired and out of synch.

It happens.

Let's move on.

I want to hear everyone keep whining about a loss to dayton.  Anyone catch the Louiseville loss to Western Kentucky?

Now I haven't visited their board, but I doubt they are crying NIT!

Edit: And now I have read the rest of the board and think im an idiot!

Santa Clara is a private, Jesuit school.

Well, UNC did play that game without the services of Raymond Felton. He was a very good player for UNC and a lottery pick. He actually is a clone of UNC's current PG Ty Lawson.

Technically, Nashville is not home for Louisville.   ;)

But we didn't have Chris Otule.  :-)

They did have the services of at least 5 other players that are in the NBA now.  I think the comparison is still valid.
