That's the best shooting from Georgetown I've seen all season. Think we get some regression to the mean. Question is, can the team generate enough offense without Markus? They did well during the first half, let's keep that up. Would be nice if we could get anything on offense from the JCs.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Amen to sacar finishing on his slashes.   Thats asking a lot though

Really makes it hard when he cannot use his left hand and has to use right hand or twist 180 deg from the left side.

Chartouny came in and my bride and I simultaneously said “Oh, sh!t.” I didn’t think after a couple of his good games earlier (against lesser opponents) that I would feel this way.

This should guarantee him a great second half. That’s what usually happens if I diss someone.

Hopefully they can give him another go.  Not really a high risk move to try him again, playin on a rolled ankle etc would be a lot more concerning

Didnt james use to come back into games from severe spasms???

Did you honestly just say there's no risk in playing someone with a potential back injury?

To me, biggest concern is how many wide open 3's / easy baskets gtown is getting, and making, by guys who are way above there average ppg.  Just a extra unexpected boost thats makes a average gtowm team much tougher to beat without your best player.

This is a super bad take:

Agreed high major D1... not so much

Mid major D1... pretty darn good

Game is winnable with three out of the first eight guys in your rotation not playing.  That includes Joe C. who played like his head is up his butt. He's gonna get an earful at halftime, believe staff lost all confidence in him after a bad turnover, bad foul and bad shot in two minute timeframe.  Having Sam bring up ball, well...

Hope the offense looks for Sam, he needs to shot alot more than Sacar is doing, a lot more.

McClung went nuts in beginning, Johnson who averages 3 points a game has 10 and hasn't missed, and Govan sort of in check.  Remember, Mourning and Leblanc went to bench early with fouls, they will return. Not good for MU.

Like J5 said, fun to watch though.

No...you are missing my point...I know the posters on this board(so many who EXPECT losses on the road, which is just weird)...They will talk about how this was an "amazing" win, and how they are so shocked they did it without Markus...No...you shouldn't be. This would NOT be David Slaying Goliath here people...This is STILL a better team then Georgetown, with or without Markus...and my point is, for those that are always "expecting losses"(especially in this one) are discrediting the rest of the talent on this team. Of course Markus is important, and if it was/is a long term injury, by all means that changes things, but for ONE game, against this team, it shouldn't be an insurmountable obstacle. This isn't Georgetown with Ewing playing.

Not to knock anyone on this board, but it's really about being able to judge talent. Without Markus MU STILL has more talented players than Georgetown. It really is that simple. Now, does talent win out all the time?? No, but all things being equal, it will be a vast majority of the time. Have some confidence!

If this were last year, this would be an appropriate take.

Dare I say that they might need more Bailey for defense? He was big on the boards, beating screens, and even added a few buckets.

I liked Cain on the PG too. Lots of length

Gonna see a lot of Ike in the second half?
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

If its purely spasms it could be as simple as a little electrolyte disturbance so ya possibly.

Georgetown is horrible. More importantly, I have big time confidence in the Hauser boys. They know ball.

Goose gets it! Goose, would you be the least bit "shocked" if MU wins this game?? My guess is a resounding no.

So you think having to adjust to playing without a potential All American on the road for the first time is no big deal, huh?
