He'd foul out in 15.

Who cares..you seriously would rather have someone else on the floor?  Kid has shown all year he can get baskets, and that is something this team has needed more than anything with its backcourt limitations.

Two free throws. He has ONE field goal in last 69 minutes.

Again, he has not scored a basket since first five minutes of Georgetown game.  Almost two full games.

I guess I should have paid attention to buzz when he essentially said Marquette would not be good this year due to lack of experience returning at the fish fry.

Wonder if he'll be honest next year and say they won't be good because he needs to start derrick Wilson and Juan Anderson and play them major minutes

Relax everybody. Burton is back. They just gave him a breather. Settle the f down

You're right. We should calmly watch our tournament chances go down the drain.

Marquette's starters have scored 10 points so far today, with 8:09 to play. Mayo, Gardner and Burton have scored 29.

I wish we could put Burton and Jamil in a blender.  They'd still both foul out, but we'd have the aggressiveness and lack of conscious of Burton and the court smarts of Jamil.

Lets just put Jamil in the blender.

Burton should be the trail guy on press in backcourt...if for whatever reason Buzz continues to not want another guard in backcourt against press....no business having had Steve Taylor in that role earlier..

Really? Buzz not playing Buton for 35 seconds of a game late in the season is the cause for "our tournament chances going down the drain?" Really?

They are struggling on the road against a top 10 team.  That tells me nothing about their ability to beat NCAA bubble teams either at home on Senior Day or on the road against a team who lost to Seton Hall at home and recently lost by double digits to a Georgetown team we just swept.

Struggling in a must win game.  Jamil Wilson hasn't showed up for the 2nd game in a row, they continue to make stupid plays both offensively and defensively.  They aren't playing hard or at least as hard as their opponent.  This team plays when it wants to, regardless of the context of the game.  They weren't motivated by a must win game.

Also, for those who look a Derrick and want to know what he did wrong today; he continually gives up the ball against a press when he shouldn't, to who he shouldn't, can't get an offense started in a meaningful way, can't finish or shoot FT's.  Anything left?

At this point of the season, in this point of the game. Yes. We need this game in the worst way.

So those 35 burton-less seconds are the reason we are losing this game?

Derrick looks like he's gonna get 39...amazing how other guys were able to have good games last game against GTown when he was limited to 22..

Nova is going to end up shooting better from 3 than we shoot from the FT line.

MU should elect to shoot from Half Court rather from the FT line.  They'd have better luck.
