Bill Scholl did a great job. He’d be held in high esteem just for seeing Wojo’s limitations as a coach and canning him. He moved even higher by hiring Shaka. It’s been a rebirth of MU hoops. Thanks, Bill!
…but, didn’t Scholl hire Wojo? And if not, why did it take him (Scholl) so long to make the move on Woj?

As far as I understand...

Ceasefire deal that stated Hamas releases all hostages and Israel stops the fighting.

Hamas agreed. Israel did not.
According to Reuters:
Based on details announced so far by Hamas officials, a copy of the proposal and an official briefed on the talks, the deal that the Palestinian group said it had agreed to included the following:
PHASE ONE
- 42-day ceasefire period
- Hamas freeing 33 Israeli hostages, , alive or dead, in return for Israel releasing 30 children and women for each released Israeli hostage, based on lists provided by Hamas according to the earliest date of detention.

Hamas will release three Israeli hostages on the third day of the agreement, and then release three more hostages every seven days, prioritising women if possible, including civilians and conscripts.
- In the sixth week, Hamas will release all remaining civilian hostages covered by this phase. In exchange, Israel will release the agreed number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons, according to the lists that will be provided by Hamas.
– Israel partially withdraws troops from Gaza and allows the free movement of Palestinians from south to north Gaza.
- Cessation of military flights over the Gaza Strip will take place for 10 hours per day and 12 hours on the day of releasing the hostages and prisoners.
- On the third day after releasing the first Palestinian prisoners, the Israeli forces will completely withdraw from al-Rashid street in northern Gaza, and all military sites will be dismantled.
- On the 22nd day of the first phase, Israeli forces will withdraw from the centre of the strip, east of Salah al-Din road to an area near the Israeli border.
PHASE TWO
- Another 42-day period that features an agreement to restore a "sustainable calm" to Gaza, language that an official briefed on the talks said Hamas and Israel had agreed in order to take discussion of a "permanent ceasefire" off the table.
- The complete withdrawal of most Israeli troops from Gaza.
- Hamas releases Israeli reservists and some soldiers in return for Israel releasing Palestinians from jail.
PHASE THREE
- The completion of exchanging bodies and starting the implementation of reconstruction according to the plan overseen by Qatar, Egypt and the United Nations.
- Ending the complete blockade on the Gaza Strip.
- Start of the implementation of a 3-5 year plan for reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, including homes, civilian facilities and infrastructure, and compensation for all those affected, under the supervision of a number of countries and organisations including Egypt, Qatar and the United Nations.

The admin seems in a solid place to make a good hire here. No doubt Shaka's enthusiastic support must be a prerequisite for any hire.

Is Brew your Daddy or is it the other way around?  Seems plausible.  Brew seems to think inheriting a roster with Lazar, Mo, David, Joe Fulce and Chris Otule is a stocked cupboard.  Most reasonable people wouldn't look at that roster and think - definitely high major, 6 seed material.  Buzz's coaching extracted the max out of that squad, and his additions of Jimmy, DJO, and Dwight helped us avoid what should have been an NIT caliber season.

Not sure why Brew thinks Nick Williams or Tyshawn Taylor matter.  Kids commit to coaches, not schools.  Buzz had no track record as a head coach other than a 1-year stint at UNO to try to sell to those two recruits.  And of course Taylor improved as a Senior to where Kansas wanted him.  And Nick Williams folloed Crean to Indiana.

So…it wasn’t “EMPTY” like you initially said.

Where did brew, or anyone else, claim they were "studs?" You were the one who claimed the year two cupboard was "EMPTY." It wasn't.

Probably, but not sure how that is relevant to the point brew is making

Where did brew claim or imply "stocked cupboard?"

Lol.  That is interesting.

Keep in mind, John Dawson saw almost no minutes on G League rosters stacked with guys like Cat Barger, Charles Cooke, Mangok Mathiang, Roscoe Smith, Sam Thompson, Luke Petrasek, Brent Arrington, Joe Chealey, Malik Pope, Jeff Roberson, Max Montana...you get the point.  Needless to say, the proof is unquestionable that Dawson was an all timer had Wojo not ran him off.

I mean if you want to play this game, I'll gladly repost your highly critical takes on Tyler, and your UBER bullish takes on Wojo.  Keep in mind, you lost 1,000 dollars on the bet you made with me betting against Tyler Kolek shooting over 35% from his Junior year.

You and Rico can have all the fun you want at the expense of my take on John Dawson being a much better basketball player than Derrick Wilson.  That's fine.  I'll take that take to my grave.  I'll also gladly take to my grave my take that 10 games into Wojo's career at MU I called it correct that he didn't have "it," and wouldn't be a good coach - while you were popping off about likely future Final Four appearances under Wojo once he got "all his guys."  Brew too was big time on that "once he got all his guys" bandwagon.  LMAO

Beyond the friendship with Brunson, I said from the minute they made that trade that he was a PERFECT fit for a Thibs team like that.  I went to a Knicks game with my BIL (a Knicks die hard) shortly after the trade and we spent a good chunk of the game marveling at Hart being EVERYWHERE.  He's a glue guy but also fills up the stat sheet all over the place.  He's become one of my favorite players in the league.

Josh Hart has been incredible during the playoffs.   He gets every loose ball, rebounds like he's 6'10, and has scored as well including timely buckets.

The bolded! This BS attitude that Shaka's system has to outperform the portal system really gets me. BOTH systems can, and probably will, result in some down seasons. I do not like the double standard.

Not saying that Shaka will never use the portal. He might well have if Kam said adios'.

Look at all those “up” seasons across the big East last year.

What… it was pretty much just UConn?
