Conan has been ripping NBC and Leno apart and it is awesome!  The quotes below don't include Tuesday night where he was even more pissed.

Conan's Jabs at NBC and Leno:
- [Audience applauding] "Ladies and gentlemen, please! You keep that up and this monologue won't start until 12:05."

- "We've got a great show for you tonight. I have no idea what time it will air, but it's gonna be a great show, let me promise you that."

- "When I got to work this morning, there was a 1923 Duesenberg parked in my spot."

- "Good evening, everybody. I'm Conan O'Brien, the new host of Last Call with Carson Daly."

- "This weekend, a 6.5 earthquake hit California... the earthquake was so powerful, it knocked Jay Leno's show from 10:00 to 11:35." [Then mocks Leno's voice.]

-"Everybody now wants to know what my plans are... all I can say is I plan to continue putting on a great show night after night, while stealing as many office supplies as humanly possible. I'm gonna rob this place blind."

-"NBC announced they plan to lose $200 million on the Winter Olympics next month. Folks, is it just me, or is that story hilarious?"

Conan Gave His Future Options Of:
- Star in a Lifetime original movie about a woman trapped in an abusive relationship with her network.

- Move to FOX and follow their hit "24" with a new show called "24:05."

- Convince NBC to let me keep this time slot if I can gain 10 pounds of chin.

- Bring sanity back to NBC by hiring Gary Busey as head of programming.

- Leave television altogether, and work in a classier business with better people, like hardcore porn.

Conan's monologue from Monday night is a must see.  I can't seem to find a link for it right now, but he took some amazing shots at NBC and a few at Leno.  My favorite line from when he was running through options for his future was "Leave TV and go into a classier industry with better people...like hard core porn.

Neither one is funny enough to make me turn away from Letterman, on the occasions I am up that late.

Both Leno and O'Brien are whiners.

You know what would have stopped this musical chair time-slot stuff?

If their shows were more interesting, more funny, so that more people would actually watch.

It's not like they don't have complete control over the content of their shows, and nearly unlimited funds and support.

Here they are whining about NBC execs .. No one to blame but themselves.

NBC is doing what they have to: maximize revenue.  Probably was a mistake to remove Leno from 10:30.  Well, that ship sailed, and now they are trying to undo the mistake.  Oh, the horrors.

Leno needs to give it up. Conan should just have a lever for Leno jokes gone bad, just like he had a lever for Walker Texas Ranger.

No.  What they should have done is never started the Jay Leno show.  Who wants to watch back to back "Late Night" shows?  Jay always had lead in shows and Conan has gotten none.  It is a crock.

As I said "Probably was a mistake to remove Leno from 10:30."  Clearly the wrong word: Definitely.

It's funny that NBC created the plan to move Conan to the Tonight Show years ago to avoid all of the drama that happened between Leno and Letterman when Carson retired.  Now they've even ended up with more drama, if that's even possible.

Neither Letterman or Conan were as funny when they moved to 10:30, although Conan is at least tolerable.  Leno at 9:00 was hurt by the guest boycotts from stars on the other networks.  There's only so much comedy you can do daily when you have an hour show with only one guest.  The 10:30 slot was perfect for him.

However I think Conan hit on something in his letter yesterday.  This could be the beginning of the end of The Tonight Show.  Leno's audience won't be the same as before because there will be some hard feelings from some of the public to all of this.  And with Leno being a workaholic and having no guest host, who know who they'll eventually get to replace him when he finally does quit.  (Hopefully not Jimmy Fallon.)  Meanwhile Conan will go to Fox (most likely) and splinter the audience even more. On top of all that, the coveted demographic is watching "The Colbert Report" for that first half hour anyways.  The Tonight Show is no longer the institution it once was, and it's about to get worse because of all this.

I know Conan puts a lot of stock in The Tonight Show's legacy but I would love to see him following Stewart and Colbert.  Great lead in for his demographic and he could get back some of the edginess he lost when he switched time slots by going to cable.

Letterman jumped the shark a decade ago.....when he wasn't jumping everything else in site at the same time.  What a cranky bitch he's become.

Having watched Letterman and suffered through Leno when forced, the cranky bitch is funnier on his worst day than Leno on his best.    Cranky bitch?   Like when someone mentions Crean?

Anyone is funnier than Leno.  Letterman is just an old, unfunny bitch with an elitiist prick attitude that has the typical DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO power trip.  No wonder he's a ...... (can't say it but you know what I'm going to say)   ;D

To me, Letterman goes in cycles.  I stopped watching him when Colbert came around, but when Colbert is a repeat, I generally watch Letterman...sometimes its painful...sometimes its brilliant.

I don't watch Kimmel much but he was awesome last night! I didn't expect him to continue his Leno bit through the entire show.  Also the fact that they played Leno's theme after every joke was great.

90% chance you're a kid about 5 years out of college.  Maybe someday you'll understand, but with your attitude, probably not.

I saw that too.  Jay isn't pleased with NBC's decesions either and rather than become the bad guy he is considering simply leaving.

The Tonight Show with Jimmy Falon?

Jay's already the bad guy, even comedians are coming out bashing him.

He's a robot, and like Rosie O'Donnel said on her satellite radio show, he's like a skier that fell who just won't let go of the tow rope.

Nah, I think they'd have to look outside the normal to do it...

Think Colbert or Stewart would give it a shot?

I do... and people would watch either of them over Letterman.
