I can't even bring myself to watch anymore of the tourney
« on: March 27, 2008, 12:12:22 PM »
This has to be one of the most devastating MU defeats I can remember.  Haven't had a desire to turn on SportsCenter or listen to sports radio since Saturday.  Hell...it's been a challenge to even visit this site (a site that has become pretty routine for me to check).

We're 5 days removed....and I still feel absolutely crushed.

When does this pain go away?!???!?!?!?!?!?!??

The pain will probably still be there until the start of next season. At least that's when I'm anticipating my pain to go away. The pain will only get worse as long as those dirty rotten stinking Badgers are still playing.

You can always watch D-Wade contend for an NBA championship...oops
How about watching Novak?  Well, he's back to DNP-CD's...shoot
That leaves Travis.....demoted to backup behind Flip Murray ?-(
How about rooting for Louisville or West Virginia?

Hell, you're right...basketball sucks right now

I'll still be watching the tourney though.  I am one point out of first place in my pool...Of course I picked MU to win it all

True about Travis, although he is still getting a ton of playing time and doing quite well

You'll get over it. Loss to tOSU in 1971 was far worse. That team was ranked #2 and had a 39 game win streak. Had potential to be the national champ. This year's team went as far as it was capable.

Still bothers me that MU let Mitch Johnson stand along the right sideline and lob passes to B. Lopez and get 16 (!!) assists.  Should have put Matthews on him to prevent the lob.  Even Mike DeCourcy of Sports Illustrated has this to say:  "If the only play the Cardinal need to win is getting the ball to Brook Lopez on the right bloc, couldn't anyone have coached them this far?"
