For those who still get a kick out of Buzz schtick. This press conference is classic Buzz. In this article is embedded a video . Buzz goes through his analysis of how the Badgers play based on his time at MU. Also some of his view to Las Vegas and other numbers based theories . https://theeagle.com/sports/college/aggiesports/mens_basketball/texas-a-m-mens-basketball-team-to-open-maui-invitational-against-wisconsin/article_8d80c62a-4b40-11ec-9035-2b87c5ac5d29.html
The Aggies (4-0) are coming off a 73-39 victory over Houston Baptist, while Wisconsin (2-1) beat 63-58 Providence last Monday.
Jeez and I thought Providence won last week
It’s crazy how Buzz has lost almost all relevance by going to A&M. They have sucked every year and are on track for another bad year (preseason #10 in the SEC).
Since Marquette, he has never finished higher than 5th in his conference.
He really didn't handle the Covid year well. They were shut down for over a month in the Spring and never got back on track. Then a significant portion of the team transferred. So this is almost like year one for him. He is likely safe after this year because he is due his entire contract if he is fired, and that is upwards of $10 million. But we will see.
Thats not an entirely fair POV. He took over a program at VT that had literally won 2 total NCAA games in 35 years and had 1 appearance in the 20 years before he got there. The fact that within 5 years he had them 5th in the ACC (every team in the top 4 above them were ranked in the top 10) and ranked all year is insanely impressive. The previous 2 years when they finished 7th, all 6 teams above them (except for NC St the year before) were top 20 teams. The ACC was just unbelievably stacked. That being said, his start in College Station has been inauspicious.
Yes. It sounds like they didn't show up today.
