I'd go with Jake Thomas, since he was the only one who didn't stink up the place.

No, Gardner.

DG, easily.  Though Vander's play at the end of the first half was big.

JMac gave the MVP to Todd Mayo, 6th man to Gardner.

I'd go Gardner.

Does someone have to win? That was just ugly basketball. Felt like a displaced Badger fan.

Gardner, I guess. Honorable mention to Ferguson for breaking his Big East duck.

Mayo put the game on ice with some tough shots and clutch free throws late in the second half.

I have to agree with Brew.  The pace of the game (and the last few actually) makes me feel like I'm watching Becky play.

Three words about SOTG.

Gardner.  Mayo made a couple of key shots, Gardner was the go-to man in the slower game and had 5 rebounds (Mayo 1), 2 assists (Mayo 0), 1 steal (Mayo 0), and 0 turnovers (Mayo 3).

DG. An overlooked fact was his ability to draw fouls. That was important with their short bench.

good call.  not only their short bench, but his ability to rack up fouls while in the process of shooting has had big returns in the form of early free throws and getting mu in the bonus early.  the free-throw differential last night was what won it for mu.  DG is responsible for getting mu into the bonus sooner, while drawing shooting fouls prior to being in bonus.

Davante.  Mayo's 3 TOs tip it to the big man.

I also liked D. Wilson's pressure on the ball.  He did a great job harassing them bringing the ball up the court.

Instead of a thread, make it a poll.  That makes it much easier to track who is the board's favorite.

I can't decide between Davante and Todd, so I abstain.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Devante might be MVP for many games before this is all over but this is turnaround time for Todd whose value only grows as we prepare for teams like Syracuse and Louisville.  Todd for this one.

No SOTG for SH?

I know Rock's busy but cinci is only 30 hours away.

De' De' gets my vote.

Ugh...I've got visitors in town and am two pages behind on thread too.  Anyhow, DG will get at least 24 hours until the Cincy stud is up.
