Based on what we know 2 weeks into the season, how many bids would you project for the Big East into the NCAA Tourney?
-
I think Nova, MU, Butler, and SJU should all make it. I think Providence, X, and Georgetown have a chance. I think it ends up at 5, though that will change if this non con continues to disappoint
-
3 bids. No one makes it past the 1st weekend.
-
I voted 5. But could definitely see 4 if things don't turn around in a hurry.
-
At the end of non-conference, BE needs teams that will themselves be Quality wins for other BE teams. Need that critical mass. Rooting big-time for BE teams.

Agree with bolded. We might get a 4th team in. Nova, St. John's, Marquette and/or Butler.
-
Lunardi has 4 (Butler, SJU, MU abs and Nova in that order) as of today (which obviously is meaningless at this point).
-
4

When was the last time the Big East did not have ranked team? Never? I'm not sure.

Friend told me it was 1982. Also, no former big East teams in the top 25 either.

That is also very interesting about lack of former teams. I can't imagine if the old Big East was still intact and no teams ranked.

That is actually super insane when you think about it.

Especially when just last week there were three. (VU, SU, WVU)

Xavier may be a team that builds momentum over the year. Their 3 graduate transfers coming off the bench are all giving them good production . Hankins the D2 transfer, in particular, has been very steady. It may take a little while for the team to gel, but they may end up peaking at the right time .

I'm hoping we will be saying the same thing with Greg Elliott being a factor.
