Columbia dropped from No. 2 to No. 18 in the latest U.S. News and World Report college rankings, after admitting to miscalculating data in its submissions to the ratings.
These rankings are 'click bait'. Nothing more.
Princeton will not charge tuition for students whose family income is under a 100k per year and will charge only 12k for those between 100k and 150k. Seems like they are the first University to realize tuition costs are beyond what most middle class families can afford. Of course with their large endowment they can afford to do this. Not to mention their acceptance rate. They are #1 on the ranking to no ones surprise.https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/princeton-finally-offers-free-tuition-for-lower-earners-why-dont-all-colleges
How far will we drop when they catch wind of the Marquette Madness cancellation?
Nursing in a tie at 29. Like it or not, ranking drive applications.
What about KenPom?
Not enough data until the second semester.Anyhow, the US News rankings are a grift built mostly upon circular methodology. They're definitely influential, just not particularly valid.
