Keelon Lawson has three highly recruited sons, the oldest of which has already committed to play at Memphis.

Dirty pool, but would not complain if Marquette did it.  Maybe Wojo  can find a spot on his staff for Diamond Stone's dad.

Wait, Calipari doesn't coach there anymore.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind.

As long as it is "legit", I have no problem - even tho' we know why.

Wally had already gotten a D1 scholarship and these kids' father was a top level HS coach.

I have no problem with this.  Lawson is a heralded high-school coach that played D1 basketball.  He also is currently related to another assistant coach at Memphis so clearly comes a from basketball family.

If we had hired Dick or Tom Diener, before getting a commit from Travis, it wouldn't have been a big deal either.

Way less squirmy than other situations because this coach is a legitimate coach who could be a college assistant based on resume and experience.

  • I prefer a team that's eligible, not paid for

This reminds me of when Marquette seemed to be the likely destination for Traik Black out of HS.  IIRC, several Memphis fans came on Scoop saying that we would have hired Traik's AAU coach as an assistant, if the NCAA hadn't just outlawed that move.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
