Help with radio for tomorrows game.
« on: November 27, 2008, 06:55:25 AM »
It looks like the game will not be picked up by Full Court.  I have had trouble with getting ESPN 540 using the link in resources and through their web site.  I have two major problems.

1. Windows media player does not work for anything.
2. I have itunes however and can get most radio stations through them.  When I cut and paste the URL for ESPN 540 in. it does not connect.

Suggestions?

Make sure you have at least vs. 9.x Media Player and open it directly.  Copy the ESPN "listen now" link and open it directly into Windows Media Player.

This usually works for me.

I have a similar problem.  I'm up at my wife's parents' house and they recently got a Mac.  I can't figure out what I need to download to let us listen to the game using the espnmilwaukee feed.  Any suggestions?

I have media player 11.  It does not work at all, even after trying all of their suggestions.  10 did not work either.

I live in Denver.  To listen to the games on radio I google "Milwaukee sports radio" it brings up sports 540.  I click on that and then on the listen now icon and I have no problem.

I just got home from the Apple store.  If you're still having problems try copying/pasting this link in your internet browser.  I think it's officially for an I-phone, but it is working on my desktop.

Who is this guy on ESPN radio doing the pregame show - My god I will NOT be able to listen him for 40 minutes if he's going to be doing play by play!  For those of you who have kids, he sounds like the pitching coach from the baseball movie where the kid breaks his arm and then when he gets his cast off he throws 90+ mph and plays for the Cubs.

It's just one guy, it should be a team... also, bad radio voice and he keeps adding the word "University" whenever referring to a school.  "Joe Blow with the free throw for Auburn University"...

marqptm - yeah, that's the movie - remember the pitching coach with the glasses and the mouthful of seeds.  Hilarious.  That's the voice of this play by play guy!!!
